Today we are happy to announce that Adobe Carousel is available in the iTunes and Mac app stores! We are very proud of this first version of Adobe Carousel and can’t wait for you to try it out. My own experiences with Adobe Carousel, having tested it for the last few months, have completely re-energized my interest in photography.
I love the fact that with Adobe Carousel I have access to all my photos and the same photo editing tools on my iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This means I can always make my photos look their best and share them with friends and family on Facebook or simply give them access to my photo library. This was our main goal – to deliver a solution that lets you play with your photos on your own terms.
Now that Adobe Carousel is publicly available, I can finally take advantage of the ability to share a photo library with my friends and family. I’ve been testing this out with team members and it works great, so I’m excited to try it out with my friends! This past summer I went to a lot of weddings and I plan to use Adobe Carousel to make it easy for us all to consolidate our photos. I’m setting up a photo carousel (you get 5 with your subscription) for each wedding and then sharing those carousels with my friends. This way we can upload our photos to one photo library, edit and share them to Facebook and Twitter. And we’re all covered by one subscription – my friends don’t have to pay or create a special log-in. Before Adobe Carousel existed, we would likely have to deal with emailing out a bunch of attachments, viewing slideshows or clicking on separate links to different accounts to share the wedding photos. Now, it won’t be so difficult to figure out who got the best shot of our buddy catching the garder or the couple smashing cake in each other’s faces. With one photo carousel, we’ll be able to easily sort through and see who captured those moments best.
After having tried other photography products out there, access to the same photo library and the same photo editing tools across my iPhone, iPad, and Mac is what’s most compelling to me. It’s simply something that other products can’t offer and after having lived with it for a few months – I can’t imagine going back. We think that after you use Adobe Carousel for a little while, it will really solve some of those problems you shared with us. The Carousel apps are available in the iTunes and Mac app store. Try the full Adobe Carousel experience for FREE for 30 days, using the 30-day complimentary subscription.
