Photoshop Elements Presents Fur-tography

Calling all animal lovers! We love sharing photos of our pets…and we know you do too. We want to see shots of your furry friends exploring, getting into trouble, or just being themselves. Beginning today, we want YOU to share photos of your pets or favorite animals with the Photoshop Elements community in our Fur-tography gallery.

If you live in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada or Germany, your photo submissions will qualify you to win a weekly prize (Photoshop Elements/Premiere Elements 11 and a token with your pet’s photo!) or the Grand Prize Package. The Grand Prize winner will not only be the new owner of the ultimate photography set-up (including a Nikon D3200 DSLR, a camera bag, strap, monopod and more!), but we’ll also make a donation on their behalf to the SPCA location of their choice (or other local animal shelter) in the form of pet food.

Speaking of animal shelters, we have a special place in our hearts for orphaned animals in need of love. That’s why we’re teaming up with our friends at the Santa Cruz SPCA to spread the word about the importance of photography in helping shelter animals find lifetime homes. A well-lit, nicely composed portrait can be the difference between a pet finding a loving family or staying in the shelter. Learn more about how you can help by watching the video below, featuring Santa Cruz SPCA manager Mandi Hart, and volunteer photographer Portia Shao. Then, reach out to an animal shelter in your area to find out about their current photography needs.

Keep an eye on the Photoshop Elements Facebook page throughout March and April. We’ll be sharing tips from San Francisco pet photographer Mark Rogers on how to capture the perfect shot of your pet pals, and a few editing tricks from our own Bob Gager.

Ready to get started? Visit our Facebook page and read the official contest rules. Then, submit your pet’s photo today!

Do you realize after the Mandy Hart & Portia Shao video finishes, a selection of other videos appears. One of those videos is a 5-minute show of animals copulating. This is very offensive, especially if children see it.

Great idea and the design of your logo is awesome!

Diana is right. I had the same things in mind!
