This bug is not part of the update Anthony.

i have some difficulties to download photoshop CS6. What i need to do ?

Is the download giving your an error? or are you getting an error installing?

How do I get this update? I’m a Creative Cloud user and the update doesn’t show up via Application Manager.

This is a perpetual license update, cloud subscribers won’t see it in AAM.

Did somebody mix up the headline of this article? I’m running PS CS6 on an Apple Mac and my current version is 13.1.2 x64? Just asking.

Thanks for asking, the version you report (13.1.2) means you are a CreativeCloud subscriber. Only perpetual license customers will see this update in the Application manager.

Mine is 13.1.2 x64 as well. All apps up to date in Adobe Application Manager.

    Thanks for the clarification Pete.

I added a line near the top to add clarification for Creative Cloud customers. Thanks!

The adobe update 13.0.1.2 errors with code U44M1I210.

That error usually indicates that a required file has been deleted or modified by another program or the user. The solution is to run the CS6 installer again to repair/replace the missing/modified file, then run the updater.

Thank you for your response. I have another question. Do I need to do an uninstall before I rerun the installer?

I am also getting an error U44M1P6. When i click on more details it tells me “Error log file location: /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers”. I went to the folder and it just log files, is there anyway just to replace the log files without doing a reinstall?

These little update errors seem to be happening a lot with CS6. and reinstalling each time is getting irritating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      J.

        Hi Jodi,

What version update do you currently have installed?

    Hi Dolores,

This error is typically due to a modified install of some kind. Do you have any disk cleaners on your system that might have changed the Photoshop install or cleaned files up?

The recommended approach is to run the main Photoshop installer (from the disk if you have it) and choose to repair the installation. Once this is done, try reinstalling the update.

    Let us know

I did run a cleaner recently. I do have the original installer and will run the repair option. Thank you for your assistance.

How can I upgrade my license from CS4 Standard edition to at least Photoshop CS6 Extended?

    @Victor:

There is no upgrade path from CS4 to CS6.

    Your options:
    1) Pay full price for a new CS6
    2) Join the Cloud (full)
    3) Join the Cloud (Single App – Photoshop only)

Cloud option is not an option ! Too expensive for me.
It used to be a path for upgrading via 2 steps up (from CS2 to CS4, or from CS whatever to higher Photoshop option.
Why Adobe is so hungry of making money via clod and cannot recognize the limited possibilities of LOTS of people to upgrade on each incremental step??
It used to be more flexible and I am sure this brought to Adobe more money in the pocket !

I believe the two version legend upgrade is still available, but you’ll need to have at least CS5 to upgrade to CS6 because there was a CS5.5 version between them.
I had the same issue and just ended up buying the full version under Educational pricing.

I get Update Failed: U44M1P6. Any ideas what I need to do to apply this update? (Win7-64bit BTW)

These updates are not applicable for Creative Cloud subscribers.
Try Downloading and installing the updates manually. Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates and download the update that you are trying to install.

I’m not a cloud subscriber. I’ll try a manual install.

I can’t find this update as a manual update, but I did try the previous one (13.0.1.1) and installed manually. Unfortunately it also failed with the same error. :(

I had to reinstall the app and was then able to install updates.

That error usually indicates that a required file has been deleted or modified by another program or the user. The solution is to run the CS6 installer again to repair/replace the missing/modified file, then run the updater.

Heißt das, dass ich die komplette Suite CS6 nochmal neu installieren muss?

Not exactly. I think the order is this:

Re-run the installer once, removing Photoshop. Re-run it again, adding Photoshop back in. Then re-apply the patch.

The update progress has frozen at 99% on “Currently Updating Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.2″ . There is no option to cancel or shut down! Any ideas what to do?

    Did you get the solution?

I love how you keep repeating that a file was somehow deleted like a broken record. I’m sure some people do that, but it’s highly unlikely that most of us do. And since it happens so often, don’t we deserve a more professional response from Adobe than the broken record response?

        Hi Steve,

Most users have downloaded and installed the update without error. There are a small percentage of users who do have issues when updating. In most cases, the cause is either missing or modified required files, or permissions issues that prevent the updater from writing the new files. Solutions to both cases can be found here: http://bit.ly/Troubleshoot_PS

If anybody gets the “Done with Errors. Error Code: U44M1P6″ for updating Photoshop. This might, in some cases, have to do with forcing a non-english version to be english. This trick relies on a file being renamed. It probably is this file that PS-update is missing. If you did this, then check if the updated version did install. If not, rename the file back and update. In my case It updated fine.

I’ve been trying to update CS6 and keep getting an error. I’ve tried deactivating, uninstalling, reinstalling reactivating and download update but it keeps failing.

That error (U44M1P6) usually indicates that a required file has been deleted or modified by another program or the user. The solution is to run the CS6 installer again to repair/replace the missing/modified file, then run the updater.

No that’s not a solution. It does not work. Even completely removing CS6, reinstalling off of the original CD and then running the updater does not work and returns the same error.

Mac 10.8.3 – I got an error on installing the update saying the update had not installed correctly. Still shows 13.0 x64.
I reinstalled CS 6 clicked Help/Updates, dialogue says all programs up to date. Photoshop still show Ver 13.0 x64.

    Hi John,

I would try uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop using the “Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CS6″ alias inside the application folder on Mac, or running the uninstall function on Windows, if running the installer in repair mode didn’t work to get the modified/removed files replaced correctly.

Hi Jeffrey, Uninstall – reinstall worked for me. Thank you.

Problem with your suggested solution is in doing a reinstall, all the installed plugins will need reinstalling…
I suggest that this an Adobe installation script failure and should be addressed by Adobe engineers instead of your customers!

Have you reported the extent of the upgrade failure to tech management because it would be surprising they expect their customers to reinstall because of coding failure

The updater works — This error is typically caused by a modified installation of Photoshop, typically by a disk cleanup utility (such as mackkeeper/cleanmymac)

    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1i210-installing-updates-ccm.html

Try Downloading and installing the updates manually. Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates and download the update that you are trying to install.

Unzip the downloaded file and then Double click on the executable to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please let us know if this works or not

I tried to update via the updater and the update file on the adobe site and got this error:
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.5
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

So, do I run the uninstaller and then the installer again?

I ran the The adobe update 13.0.1.2 update via the manager and it said, “installation successful.” although under help about it doesn’t show the .2, just 13.0.1

Try Help> Click on System Info… A dialog box will come up. Check the first line within the dialog box, should read “Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.2 20130522.r.24″ if your update worked. This explanation is for the MS Windows 64 version of Photoshop.

I will never understand why people read software update, bug fix posts, then encounter errors when they download and try and install. Many, many times the error, issue, question is addressed in the subsequent comments! Come on folks, help them help you. Read a little bit further before asking the same questions.

Better idea. Make better installers that don’t fail all the dang time.

Wow, I was a little worried how my 13.0.2/Win 7 update would end up based upon all the problems I’m seeing here. However, I must be living right, my update worked flawlessly. Thanks Adobe!

NONE OF THESE FIXES WORK!!

1. Reinstalling Photoshop from the original installation media. (All this does is roll back to base 13.0 version, and no further updates are possible). NOTE: this option does not provide “repair / modify” selections.

2. Uninstalling and re-installing the complete Master Collection.

3. De-activating, uninstalling, re-installing the complete Master Collection.

4. Download and install the new Application Manager (ApplicationManager7.0_all.exe) as suggested in one of the error alerts from the many failed attempts to install this update from either the Application Manager, or from the downloaded patch file (Photoshop_CS6_13_0_1_2_upd.zip).

So I guess you (Adobe) provided me with faulty CS6 install disks to start with if the patch is fully functional and non-buggy, right? So are you then going to send me a fresh set of BUG FREE install disks?

I guess this, and the Acrobat which kept de-authorizing itself every 30 days (requiring full MC uninstall / reinstall to get working again)is another indication of just how well “creative cloud” is going to work!

Wayne we can have a connect session to resolve it, Please provide me your mail id.

    Ashutosh

So, if the update 13.0.1.1 worked (and thereafter the version was 13.0.1), and the update 13.0.1.2 fails (and shows version 13.0 after installation attempt), should I re-install the 13.0.1.1 or this is only the incorrectly shown version number?

This is as expected. You can verify the same at Help> Click on System Info after successful patch installation.

Sorry, this was the point: did photoshop go back to the very initial 13.0 after unseccessfull update to 13.0.1.2, or back to the previous 13.0.1.1, and only that Help > About shows incorrect version?

AT LAST!!

Ok now it does not work the traking!!!
you put 20 and Photoshop change it to 11, you put 50 PS change it to 29!!!

What the * Adobe! You use to make good products… and now you can’t even fix your errors without making other errors to appear.

I’ts sad

Regarding “Pen tool input doesn’t draw correctly” fix

With this fix a disturbing latency was introduced between the moment you click to create an anchor point and the moment the anchor point actually appears on the screen. Very annoying!!!

    Hi Cosmo,

    What OS/version are you on?

      Hi Jeffrey,

Windows 8 Pro 64bit on LGA 2011 platform, with all latest updates (bios, drivers, software); Adobe CS6

I’ll have someone on the QE team take a look. Thanks.

It installed OK, yay! And at first I thought it had squashed one of the worse Photoshop bugs for me ever, but when I did some work this morning with the patched version, I found the old bug is still there. I was figuring it would be fixed by CS7, but it looks like I’ll be keeping CS6 for a long time.

On the Mac, Mountain Lion, copy a filename to the clipboard from finder or some source code. Then in Photoshop with an image open, do save for web. Say it’s a jpg. Adjust the quality to something other than the current setting. Click the “Save…” button. Try to paste the new filename into the dialog. On my system it always pastes it into the quality slider instead, and I can’t paste into the file-save dialog.

Thanks John, I’ve asked one of QE to investigate it.

We installed Photoshop upgrade last year. Over time, we have sucessfully been updating Photoshop using the application manager until 13.0.1.2.

We continue to get the Photoshop CS6 failing updates. I did reinstall from CD my PS CS6 and lost all the prviously installed updated before 13.0.1.2. Managed to use the Application Manager to sucessfully install updates CS6 1.0.1 Dynamic lin media server, 6.0.6 Extension Manager and 5.0.2 Bridge. However, Aobe Camera Raw 7.4 and 13.0.1.2 continued fail.

Yesterday [4Jun13] we contacted by telephone Adobe Support [India]. We talked for 20 minutes +. Tanymay did use software to directly access my computer. Together we did turn off my firewall and we sucessfully downloaded a current version of Application Manager 7.0?. He was able to “share my screen” and actually see on screen “installation failed” for ACR4.7, and 13.0.1.2. He then browsed down to the LOG opened it… and we opened it and found several ERR’s were the intallation was not getting files and folder permissions and was not copying update files”.

He did get a copy of our install log file for “escalating” this issue to NEXT Tech support level for resolution.

He did provide a 9 digit Case File [first 1843... last 9129] for me to use for follow up. He mentioned that I would be getting an email with the case number. I guess standard tech support policy is that will get answer with in 24 hours. Did not get the email yesterday or today. Yes I did check my junk mail.

So.. it appears that this issue probably is in Adobe’s court for resolution.

My concern is that my current Photoshop Cs6 has Adobe Camera Raw 7.0 plugin. I need to get it updated to 7.4 so we can get our new Canon camera RAW images processed.

One other thought, I also need to update from Photoshop CS6.0 to 6.0.1

RESOLVED >UPDATE: 2:49pm June 5, 2013.

Now my Photoshop CS6 ABOUT reads:

PhotoShop Version 13.0.1 32x
Adobe Camera Raw Version 7.4.0.137

What Adobe Support and I did yesterday was to only disable McAfee’s Firewall.

Today I disabled both McAfee Firewall AND Virus Protection.

Opened Photoshop | ran Updates. BOTH ACR and 13.0.1.2 downloaded and installed correctly.

Now we are up todate. And need to go buy a new desktop 64bit Win7 or 8 and do all this over again on the new machine. YEAH me !!!

Also have to contact Adobe Support and close our Case… got to figure out who to call ??

Just go to Adobe.com and log into My Adobe. You can close cases from there without having to call.

Both the update from within Photoshop and the update from downloading it discretely and running it fails with the following error:
Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.2
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

Win7 Pro

ISSUE: Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7
SOLUTION: Run the installer. Reinstall Photoshop CS6 to repair/replace the missing/modified file. Select Help>Updates… to run the updater again. http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cs6-updates-dont-install.html

    More here: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2012/07/photoshop-basic-troubleshooting-steps-to-fix-most-issues.html#TroubleshootUpdates

Did all that, same error. Even cleaned the registry before reinstalling, no anti-virus, no firewall, etc.

E.J just to confirm did click the Adobe Photoshop CS6 check box again in Install Options Screen?

Even after a complete reinstall from scratch, the update fails.

Update, bizarrely enough, when I used the stand-alone installer after a complete reisntall, even though I got the same error as before, the version now reads correct and when I click on Updates it now says I am up to date. Adobe and installers has always been a bizarre comedy of errors. Would you really trust them in the cloud model? It’s likely some versions simply won’t update and if they ever change the verification code in the software and you haven’t been updated due to an error, you could be locked out even though you are dutifully paying your monthly ransom payments.

x64 on Win8, the same problem with Photoshop Update 13.1.2, code error: U44M1P7.

We used with the helpdesk AdobeCreativeSuiteCleanerTool.exe and nothing, especially strange was that, the Ps & inDes uninstalled properly still was working!

What helped?
Removing an antyvirus program, re-installation of the Ps in separate mode without any other CS6 apps installed, update from the Ps (the Adobe Manager was still failed this time).
After this operations the Adobe Manager is showing the Ps like updated.
I hope that will help all of you.

Thanks, Helpdesk
Best Regards

So, if you’re getting the install error, you don’t have to uninstall CS6 Extended? Just put the disc back in the computer and do a reinstall?

Please make sure to verify Ps version from Help->System Info.
On running Ps patcher again manually on already updated Ps would result in error.

Regards,
Ashutosh

ANOTHER ONE: UPDATE FAILED. Very unpleasent experience, adobe!
“Error Code: U44M2P7″ both on mac and windows.
Nothing deleted, nothing moved in the library.

this is a fail not on the user side but on adobe.

hope this is going to be fixed soon.

Verify Ps version from Help->System Info. If you are running patch again on already Updated Ps this may result it error.

Please help!

I’ve updated my Photoshop successfully but now whenever I use Photoshop I can’t bring up the colour picker panel. When I try, Nothing happens and everything is else is disabled- I can’t click on tools, or layers, or anything from the dropdown menus. I can’t even minimize or quit the program!

Photoshop is now unusable for me!

I’ve restarted photoshop several times, restarted my computer and this still happens every time I click on the colour swatch to bring up the picker.

I’m running on Windows.

Any help would be great.

hmm… how do I know if my app has been updated? Application manager reported update successful, but when I go to help->about Photoshop, I still see version 13.0.1 x64 or x32. If I select to check for update, it says it’s up to date. what gives?

System: win7 ultimate x64, also have LR4.4 x 64 installed, Elements 10, along with Nik plugins and OnOne suite 7.5.

Verify Ps version from Help->System Info.

hi … i have a update erro photoshop CS6 pleas help me how to fix it..

How DARE you!! Are the thoughts that come to mind.

I have encountered the Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud, Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7.

Adobe support says to download and install MANUALLY. Clicking further in the cyclical route, I am told to open Photoshop CS6, click on Help/Updates.

Gee, whiz!! Guess where that takes me?

Well, if you haven’t heard enough complaints or are failing to read the Forums, it takes me back tot he same source of application manager to only repeat the cycle.

NOW, take a look at what people are trying to tell you:

IT DOESN’T WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, and I have a right to be angry.

Get it right. Listen to us, and give us proper and useful and functional directions!!!

Thank you.

I’m in the same boat. Perhaps this is yet another way to force people into Creative Cloud.

I agree. Clicking on anything for help with CS6 I am sent to a signup page for CC. Adobe has Turned into a bunch of car salesmen Trying to convince you to lease a car rather than buy one. The difference is that Adobe isn’t giving us a choice! I have been a legitimate owner of Photoshop 5, 7, PS CS4, PS CS5 extended and now the complete CS6 Design and Web Premium. Adobe: I am and have been a dedicated customer and fan for years! Have you considered The fact that to be a true artist is to be unique. How can we be unique when we are all forced into a “Community Commune Cloud” or being stuck forevermore with CS6 and denied any new developments for which most of us have for YEARS gladly paid for. Taking away freedom of choice has been- for MILLENIA- the trigger for emancipation. If CC truly becomes the only source for what has been for so long and incredible suite of tools, I can see the whole shebang spiraling the drain. See the light, and be happy with the $1200-2500 or more that we each drop every couple years for the new Suites.

I’ll second that. EVERY SINGLE UPDATE gives me the …P7 error every single time. Adobe, you MUST address this.

Can we PLEEEASE fix the spacebar shortcut bug!!! If you don’t know what I’m referring to… it’s the one in which I have to close out Google Chrome about 10 times a day because the pan tool shortcut will completely NOT work until your browser is restarted. This is still affecting many mac users on both firefox and chrome. I’ve googled this and it goes back years without being fixed.

I went with the full creative cloud suite last year and it is now at the $49 price, up from $29. Within that year, I have really used only PS, with Lightroom and Audition playing a very minor role. Can I cancel the full price and get only Photoshop CC at that price? My new subscription starts this month on or around the 20th of June at $49.

I am a CC subscriber. The update of Photoshop appears on the update panel, When I tried to update I got the message “Update Failed.” Why am I being offered an update that is not appropriate to my version of Photoshop?
Thanks.

    Hi Charles,

The engineering team discovered the build was marked for both perpetual and cloud when it should have just been marked for perpetual. This has been corrected now. AAM will no longer show the 13.0.1.2 update for Windows Creative Cloud users. The next update for Creative Cloud users is 14.0, which includes all the new features, and should be out sometime early next week.

I urgently need help, please! On my Macbook Pro, OSX 10.7.5 — I tried to update my Photoshop Extended CS6 to 13.05 and now can’t open Photoshop CS6 at all. It crashes at start. Not only that, all previous updates have disappeared and in Finder I see that the program shows as 13.0.

What do I do? I leave on an extended travel journey in 24 hours and desperately need Photoshop and Camera Raw to work so I can process my photographs. Please tell me how I can remedy this. I have never, ever had this problem before. What steps do I take to make Photoshop operational again? I don’t even care if I have to skip the update for now. I never would have done this if there was the slightest possibility of jeopardizing the functioning of Photoshop. Thank you!

Windows 8 x64 and error U44M1P7. Do not update!

I have problem with running photoshop cs6 at all due to scratch disk locked bug.. How can I get this update in another way manually ??

    Hi Afrim,

Are you a Creative Cloud customer? What version do you currently have installed?

Don’t update to the newer version. If you have Photoshop CS6 Version 13.1 stay with it. Those updates are not worth it. CS6 does an excellent job at getting what most photographers and designers need. It’s all a propaganda to get you to overpay for something you don’t need to. The creative cloud is a rip off.

Why is there no longer a direct download option for the update files? I have a client with very limited bandwidth and forcing every machine to download updates directly instead of allowing me to download the patch one time and deploying it to many machines is a major problem. First you take away people’s ability to own their own software by forcing a subscription to your creative cloud and now this? Why are you making things so much worse for your users? I realize that the cash grab behind forcing subscriptions on your users means we’re stuck with the creative cloud going forward but please bring back direct downloads for your product updates!

WHY Last level 13.0.1.2 Photoshop Adobe Photoshop CS6 FAILED on Windows 7 ?

I try since June 3 to do this update 13.0.1.2 (PS CS6 (64bits Windows 7) to do anything it is a failure every time. Please I need help is there anyone who can me say whats happens with this update?

When I try to Update at the end a windows open indicate update failed verify Logs or call Customer Service.

I managed to get the full file of the failure of the updated, it really is a large file that I hope can help find the solution:

NEED HELP…HELP…PLEASE WHY Last level 13.0.1.2 Photoshop Adobe Photoshop CS6 FAILED on Windows 7 ?

I try since June 3 to do this update 13.0.1.2 (PS CS6 (64bits Windows 7) to do anything it is a failure every time. Please I need help is there anyone who can me say whats happens with this update?

still seeing the font size change issue with this latest update :(
so far the only fix is to go back to photoshop cs5. arrg so annoyed

Hy everyone. For some reason i can’t upgrade my version of Photoshop (13.0 x64) – when i run update inside the application i always get the following:

“The update server is not responding. The server might be offline temporarily, or the Internet or firewall may be incorrect.”

What should i do?…

Hi,

I’m wondering if there’s any chance whatsoever of Adobe fixing the bug that causes Photoshop to not save and not respond to keyboard shortcuts? It only affects those of us who work on small screens- i.e., netbooks with 1028 x 600 screen resolutions.

Here’s the bug in a bit more detail: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/why_wont_my_trial_of_photoshop_cs6_extended_let_me_save_my_images

Thanks for your time and consideration.

- Julie

Please, please have a look at the pen tool in the next update. At the moment it is really difficult to see the path on some backgrounds, and when you have lots of etches to get through it becomes really frustrating when you are constantly searching for the path.

I am getting error (U44M1P7)
I have MAC 10.7.5 and Creative Suite CS6 I Updated everything BUT Photoshop CS6?

I also download Photoshop from http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/ BUT i have NO LUCK same ERROR

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.5
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

I love reading through an article that can make people think.
Also, thank you for permitting me to comment!

Im STILL on a PPC Mac running PsCS$ but have bought PsCS6 as I want to reamina perpetual licence holder ( for the meantime at least) and I will (funds permitting) be upgrading my computer later in the year and installing PsCS6on it. Hopefully at that time I will be able to upadte via the help menu etc

However I would have more peace of mind were these updates to Ps13 available as direct downloads so I can archive them just in case………..well just in case.

Not possible as it stands?

more at Voice of America (blog). Filed Under:

I’m currently using CS5.5 and would like to upgrade to the perpetual license for CS6. I was told I could purchase it off of the Adobe site. I am unable to find it on the site. Where can i buy this? At this time I’m not interested in going to CC.

Thanks,

JeffN

nice post!! :)

I love the new version of Photoshop! My only complaint is that my laptop doesn’t have enough memory to use the lighting effect filter. However, I only use that feature once in awhile. So, I just open up CS5 for that and use the newest release for everything else. It’s probably time to upgrade to a new laptop though, so I can’t really fault Adobe on that one.

Apparently this blog does not get regular viewing by Mr. Tranberry, at least not enough to answer my question about upgrading to CS6 perpetual license…. :-(

Hi Jeff, sorry, I was on vacation July 19-Aug 1. I’m back in the office now.

Any update on the Windows 8 Photoshop cc update error U44M1P7? I followed all of the available advise like reinstall, turn off security, install update from inside Ps vs. installed and whatnot but still get the error. It is specifically complaining about…..
Adobe CSXS Extensions 4
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I looked at the log but it was not too conclusive…in fact I found no evidence of any complaint there at all.

Upon further review, I found a suggestion in the log that permissions might not be set correctly. I have included this portion as follows and can send the entire log if anyone is interested…

No, I have not tried this but, if you think it will correct the problem, I will….

I just installed the update successfully in safe mode. It took a bit of doing to figure out how to get into safe mode in Windows 8. So, in short, I am all set. Thank you for the guidance…..

PS CS6 Update Error U44M1I210 — can’t install updates

Persistent U44M1I210 errors in AAM 7.0.0.414 after trying to install
- Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update
- Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6
- Adobe Photoshop 13.0.5
- Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update
- Photoshop Camera Raw 8.1(CS6)

These updates are not available for independent download.

Numerous “chat” sessions, including “computer control” have been unsuccessful, as has uninstall/reinstall if CS6, followed by manual updates of what is available.

I was advised by Adobe support that solution is known, but is only documented in confidential documents not available to customers.

Please advise.

    Hi David,

The issue and solution is publicly documented here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1i210-installing-updates-ccm.html

      Thanks you for responding.

I have been through all of the procedures listed in the memo you cite. None of the listed symptoms were found. The referenced memo listing error codes shows only the following:

[ERROR] UWANative – install updates returned statusCode:44, errorCode:210 There was an error installing this update. Quit and try again later. Download the update from Adobe.com and install.

Since the updates in question are not available for direct download, I’m stuck.

Please post the listed updates for independent download.

      Thanks,

      Dave.

        Did you try solution 3?

          Thanks again, Jeffrey.

Yes, I tried Solutions 1-3, as listed at “http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-u44m1i210-installing-updates-ccm.html” . Solution 4, “Review the installation log files”, did not reveal anything apparently useful.

After re-installing Photoshop CS6, I manually updated, applying all updaters available for download and manual installation. Adobe analysts, using a remote access utility to control my machine, were also unable to make any headway, ultimately losing communications and apparently being unable to re-establish it.

To repeat myself, please post the following updates for manual download, without requiring the use of AAM:
          - Adobe Extension Manager CS5 5.0 Update
          - Adobe CSXS InfrastructureCS6
          - Adobe Photoshop 13.0.5
          - Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update
          - Photoshop Camera Raw 8.1(CS6)

          Thanks,

          Dave.

          Hi David,

The updates all require AAM for installation even if they are downloaded directly. (when you double-click them, they will launch AAM to install)

8.1 of camera raw is newer than 6.7, so you can’t have both installed. Here is the 8.1 download of Camera Raw: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/2011/03/keeping-photoshop-up-to-date.html#notconnected

          13.0.5 update is here: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5578

          Extension manager is here: http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_updates/#emcs5

          CSXS infrastructure is here: http://swupdl.adobe.com/updates/oobe/aam20/mac/AdobeCSXSInfrastructureCS6-3/3.0.1/Setup.dmg

Do you by chance use MacKeeper or CleanMyMac on your system?

Jeffrey –

Making excellent progress! Thanks very much for your help.

I was able to update CSXS infrastructure, Ext Mgr 6.0.7, and PS 13.0.5. A second shot at Camera Raw 8.1 also succeeded, so I’m now at PS CS6 13.0.5, with Camera Raw 8.1.0.43 .

AAM was apparently calling for Camera Raw 6.7 Update because both CS5 and CS6 are on this machine. I unchecked “Photoshop Camera Raw”, leaving “Photoshop Camera Raw 7″ checked in AAM preferences, and now get U44M1I210 errors only for for Ext Mgr CS5 5.0 and CSXS Infra CS6. Must be a problem with AAM.

Incidentally, /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers now contains the following (all of which show either no op or no errors):
Adobe Photoshop CS6 Support 13.0.5 08-15-2013.log.gz
Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6 3.0.1 08-15-2013.log.gz and
Adobe Extension Manager CS6 6.0.7 08-15-2013.log.gz
Photoshop Camera Raw 8.1 08-15-2013.log.gz

Finally, neither MacKeeper nor CleanMyMac is on this machine.

Thanks,

Dave.

    Hi David,

Would be good to know what the logs say. If you post the logs here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/download_install_setup Jeff Wright’s team there can probably point you in the right direction.

      Jeff Tranberry –

You helped me several weeks ago when I was getting persistent U44M1I210 errors on attempting to update PhotoShop CS6. Now time has passed, new updates have been issued, and I’m getting the same errors again.

I managed to find and install Camera Raw 8.2, but I need some help with AEM CS5 5.0 and Adobe CSXS Infrastructure CS6.

Incidentally, I posted the log files, as you suggested, but was never able to awaken anyone in that department.

      Thanks,

      Dave.

I do not know if this has been answered but I have a question about upgrading from CS5 to CS6

I found the 13.0.5 update through a google search of CS6 upgrades.

I know about the Creative Cloud but I am not interested in that.
I bought CS5 by itself a few years ago and I do not want to pay a monthly subscription fee for the Cloud version of CS6.

When I found this 13.0.5 update I felt it was worth a shot at seeing if it will upgrade my CS5 to CS6 without subscribing to Cloud. I’ve already downloaded the 13.0.5 update but I am reluctant to open the installer until I know what it will do to my CS5.
I do not want it interfering with my CS5 if it is not compatible.

I am willing to pay an upgrade fee, like I did when I upgraded from CS2 to CS5, but I will not rent CS6. I will either own a perpetual license to use it or I will stick with CS5.

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated.

Very buggy! Since this update, I have had major problems with layer comps and sizing type in the character palatte in Photoshop. This is the first update I have ever had affect my work flow. Is there any way to fix these? I am extremely disappointed and frustrated,

You know one of the things that has been bothering about this Cloud Licensing thing has been the claim that it is much easier to to get updates now. Adobe in the past had no issue with posting updates so why is this better? What changed?

Install experience is much better (single click install for applications). The thing with updates is we can release updates with features more frequently, instead of 18-24 months) to address the changing market and customer needs.

Latest update gives the following error:

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.3
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64 or
Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.3 20131024.r.34 2013/10/24:21:00:00) x32

What is the problem?

Then I downloaded the 13.0.1.2 and 13.0.1.3 installs did the following:
    1. Installed 13.0.1.2 … OK
    2. Installed 13.0.1.3 … Failed showed 13.0
    3. Re-installed 13.0.1.2 and now shows … Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.3 20131024.r.34 2013/10/24:21:00:00) x64

    32bit still shows Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0.1 (13.0.1.3 20131024.r.34 2013/10/24:21:00:00) x32

There is something wrong with this install package.

I am getting the following error on updating:

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.3
Done with Errors. Error Code: U44M1P6

My installed (and licensed) version of Photoshop is:

Adobe Photoshop CS6
Version 13.0 x64

As you can tell from this version number, I’ve had this update problem in the past and never been able to update beyond my originally installed version of PS6.

Can you help me please?

Thank you.

So, I was at 13.0.5 and tried to updated, and then got this:

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.6
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M2P7

After that update failed, I’m now somehow reverted to 13.0.0? Sweet! Why would I want retina support anymore.

Also, Photoshop now also thinks 13.0.0 is the latest version and doesn’t think it needs to update.

Hooray!

Since upgrading 2 machines to Photoshop CS6 I have a lot of issues with the program crashing when printing, all the drivers for the printers are upto date and its not all the time, I have reset the preferences to no avail, it has also started to randomly crashing while working in the program, illustrator is also installed on this machine and that work perfectly fine!

Hi James, we’d need more info, like the printer model, driver version, OS/version. Post more details on the Photoshop forum, we can help you there: http://adobe.ly/PS-U2U

Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.3

What does this mean? How do I remedy the error?

My CS6 work’s fine. I have done update and everything is ok

I am in the middle of editing clients images and pulling my hair out.

Last night doing a batch process it froze so such machine down.

This morning CST now will not let me save ‘any’ file. The error message I now get is:

Could not save as “image file name/number” because write access was not granted.
Could not save “image file name/number” because write access was not granted.

Can someone please help…I’m getting frustrated as have deadlines to meet!!!! Thank you
