    General question:
If a coworker has Captivate4 and creates a *.cp file. Will I be able to edit it if I have Captivate3?

  2. preran says:

The file will not open in Adobe Captivate 3, and even if it does, most features will not work as intended.

  3. JC says:

As far as I know and have seen Cap 4 is not Backwards compatible… you cannot edit Cap 4′s products on previous versions of the program. You can however import from previous versions but not the other way around. This is especially problematic in my work environment since most of the personnel has version 1 and 2 of the program.
