Adobe Premiere Elements 10 : Reasons to buy or upgrade

For information on Premiere Elements 11, see Mallika’s blog

The world’s favorite movie/video editor is back with the next version. And yes, it has moved with the times to provide you with a host of options that make your movie making and sharing experience a lot simpler.

For a video demo of the new features in Adobe Premiere Elements 10, see the section Choose Smart Moviemaking Options on the page http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere-elements/features.html

Some of my favorite features:

Easily correct and enhance color : The two new effects in Adobe Premiere Elements –  Auto Tone and Vibrance, and three way color corrector- help you quickly correct less than perfect areas in your movie clips. For more information see http://goo.gl/r8mg2

Turn photos into entertaining movies: Using the pan and zoom tool in Adobe Premiere Elements, you can create video-like effects from images or movie clips. For movie clips, the effect works best when there is minimal movement of objects within the clip. For more information, see http://goo.gl/cCAoP.

Share a movie on YouTube with minimum fuss: You can add all the details that YouTube requires in Adobe Premiere Elements, and quickly upload your video to YouTube. For more information, see http://goo.gl/DHUjy

Burn Blu ray quality movies on to DVDs (no Blu Ray burner required!):

Use AVCHD if you want to export your video to a high definition format that can be burnt on a DVD. The generated files are Blu Ray compatible and can be played using an AVCHD compatible Blu Ray player. Alternatively, you can export the generated files to a folder on your computer. Do remember to rate our documents whenever there is an option. It helps us improve them for you.

If you have suggestions on how we could improve Adobe Premiere Elements, post your wishlist on http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere_elements, or http://feedback.photoshop.com. Don’t be misled by the name in the second URL. Premiere Elements is pretty much part of the list that this site addresses.

Have fun! See you soon!
