Introducing Early Feature Access Release of Adobe Presenter 8 for ASA Customers

This release will grant early access to fantastic new features and is available only to customers on Adobe Software Assurance plans for Adobe Presenter & eLearning Suite (as well as those customers on maintenance agreements and eLearning Suite 6 / 6.1 Subscriptions.)

For customers not on these subscription plans these features are expected to also appear in the next full release of Presenter.

$2000 Top Prize in the Adobe Change the World Challenge

I’m thrilled to share that Adobe has announced an amazing competition for students and teachers ages 13 and up. It’s an awesome chance to strut your creative stuff and compete for fantastic big money prizes. Top prize is $2000 with a $1000 second prize and a $500 third prize.

Now money can be good. It can even be awesome. But what’s really awesome about this contest is that participants will get a chance to show off their creativity, and express their ideas about a social issue that matters to them. Announcing Adobe Presenter 8 with new support for 64-bit MS PowerPoint.

You are no longer forced to use the 32-bit version of MS Office, just because you want to create PowerPoint based eLearning. The new 64-bit Presenter 8 now works with your 64-bit MS PowerPoint.

How do you find out if you have 32-bit or 64-bit of MS-Office? It’s very simple, open MS PowerPoint and go to File> ‘About Microsoft PowerPoint’> … it would show you if it is 32-bit or 64-bit.

Do remember, there are separate installers for 32-bit and 64-bit version of Adobe Presenter. So, when you are downloading the installer, make sure you select the correct one.

Resolution: Adobe Presenter 8 Installer Issue

When trying to install Adobe Presenter 8 after uninstalling the previous version, if you still get an error that ‘Previous version of Presenter is already installed,’ follow these steps to resolve the issue.

For 32-bit Windows machine:

  1. Download this file and save it on your desktop.
  2. Rename the file as Pr7_32Bit.reg. Make sure the extension is changed from TXT to REG.
  3. Double-click the Pr7_32Bit.reg file.
  4. You’ll get a few alerts. Click OK and Yes to confirm.
  5. Now install Adobe Presenter 8 to your system.

For 64-bit Windows machine:

  1. Download this file and save it on your desktop.
  2. Rename the file as Pr7_64Bit.reg. Make sure the extension is changed from TXT to REG.
  3. Double-click the Pr7_64Bit.reg file.
  4. You’ll get a few alerts. Click OK and Yes to confirm.
  5. Now install Adobe Presenter 8 to your system.

Adobe provides Free Update to Presenter – Now Create State of the Art Flash From within PowerPoint

I’m thrilled to announce today that Adobe is offering owners of Adobe Presenter 7 and Adobe eLearning Suite a completely free update to Adobe Presenter. Adobe Presenter 7.07 is a fairly significant change in the overall Presenter delivery so users will need to uninstall 7 and then install the fresh copy of 7.07.
