Installing Studio 8 Products: Can not select another drive when primary drive is full

TechNote: When installing any of the Macromedia Studio 8 products (Flash 8, Fireworks 8, Dreamweaver 8, Contribute 3.11), if the primary drive is too full to accommodate the installation, the installer presents you with a list of alternate drives.
