Cannot take Adobe Captivate Quiz that is embedded in PPT published to Connect Server
(TechNote) If you embed Adobe Captivate content that contains a quiz into PowerPoint and then publish to Connect Server, a user will not be able to attempt the Adobe Captivate quiz. The question slide of the Adobe Captivate quiz will display "You did not answer this question completely" and all controls that are part of the quiz, such as the radio buttons and the submit buttons, are disabled.

"By Slides" report for published Adobe Captivate content does not report first slide
(TechNote) When publishing Adobe Captivate content to Connect Server using Adobe Captivate version 1.01 build 1418, the "By Slides" report will not record the first slide. For example, if you have 25 slides in your Adobe Captivate project, the "By Slides" report will only show slides 1-24.

Login IDs cannot be created with a language other than English
(TechNote) Many Connect customers are international companies and, as such, they have Connect users that speak English, some that speak French and some that speak both.
There are two methods for creating new Connect login IDs using Connect Enterprise Manager: interactively, in the NewUser page, one login ID at a time and, in batch, using the CSV import feature. Neither method supports the setting of the user profile language property.

Adobe Connect Enterprise Server 6.0 does not require Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2
(TechNote) As of February 6, 2007, the Connect Enterprise Server 6 Installation and Configuration Guide in the "Software requirements for Connect Enterprise Server" table states that Connect 6.0 requires either "Microsoft Windows Server 2000, or Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2". This is an error, and will be fixed in the install guide.

The Manager is already secured by requiring credentials (loginID and password) to login to the webapp, but additional security can be configured by limiting access to the webapp by IP address (or host name).

Setting the Application Console Manager after Breeze 5 installation completes
(TechNote) Part of the Breeze installation procedure is to complete Server Settings in the Application Console Manager. Especially, the Breeze Host and External Name must be defined correctly, as these will affect your Breeze meeting server. If you fail to configure these two variables in the Application Console Manager, you may not be able to access the Breeze meeting room. In addition, port 1935 must be opened on your corporate firewall in order for the Breeze meeting server to function unless you are enabling Breeze meeting server to listen only on port 443.

Breeze Presenter attachments don't get published along with the presentation

MS SQL Server Service Pack affects the embedded database engine port
(TechNote) By default, the embedded database engine that ships with Breeze 5.x listens on port 1434. In Breeze 4.x and older, the embedded database engine listens on port 1433 and will continue to listen on port 1433 when you upgrade to Breeze 5. When you install a fresh Breeze 5 server with the embedded database engine, the server listens on port 1434. However, if you are using Breeze 4 with the embedded database engine and upgrade to Breeze 5, the embedded database engine still listens on port 1433. Therefore, it is necessary for you to ensure that the Breeze 5.x server listens on port 1433 or 1434. Otherwise, Breeze 5.x may not be able to connect to the database.

Best Practice to avoid Breeze Event pages customized with Contribute from reverting to original uncustomized version
(TechNote) Customized/branded Breeze Event pages created with Contribute will revert back to their original uncustomized version if the option of "Save and Rebuild" is selected when editing the event information. If selected, Breeze will erase all changes made with Contribute and revert all pages back to the original uncustomized version.

Best practice using the Breeze Meeting Archive Transcript feature

When viewing a recording, a user can select the "Archive Transcript" feature, an index of the archive based on layouts. This feature is of particular use to someone interested in listening to certain portions of the recording, rather than all of it.

Best Practice for uploading non-supported images to customize your Breeze meeting room with room backgrounds
(TechNote) Breeze Meeting rooms can be customized using images by selecting the "Room Background" option under the Meeting tab. The current best practice is to use supported images (.jpg or .gif) set at the appropriate size, 800x600 pixels. If you are trying to upload a non-supported image, use the steps listed below as a workaround.

Unable to publish from Breeze Presenter

Unable to open files on the Breeze 5 RTM CD when using Firefox browser

Installing Breeze 5 with Windows IIS
(TechNote) When installing Breeze 5 on a system with Windows IIS running, the dialog warning below prompts the user to abort the installation, uninstall IIS, and start the Breeze installation again. Additionally, if port 80 is in use by IIS (or another service), Breeze 5 will fail to start after it has been installed.
