(TechNote) Contribute 3.x and 4 customers who encounter any of the following problems may wish to take advantage of the new Net I/O Logging feature:
* Difficulty creating a connection
* Problems with creating or editing site files
* General Contribute performance problems
The Net I/O Logging feature allows Contribute to generate log files. These log files include detailed information about Contribute performance, including information about reading and writing files to the site(s). A review of the file may help users identify the cause of any problems when creating a connection as well as indicate any network problems.
(TechNote) When you add an image to a blog, Contribute 4 displays the message, “Contribute decreased the size of the image because it exceeded the size limit set in BlogHub.csi. To change the size limit modify this file.”
(TechNote) The FTP Server Checker enables users to diagnose problems when a connection cannot be established in Contribute using FTP. The tool checks the compatibility between the FTP server and Contribute, then generates a report to help to identify issues between the server and Contribute.
If the report does not clarify FTP compatibility problems, then send the report to Adobe for further analysis.
(TechNote) Contribute Frequently Asked Questions
TechNote: Creating a link to a PDF file by browsing to the file writes an incorrect link. While inserting a link to a .PDF file by browsing to the file, the document opens in Acrobat Reader not in the preview window. When you click the OK button, the link inserted is to the parent directory of the document (not to the .PDF document).
TechNote: After creating a connection to a website (using the Connection Wizard) with a homepage URL that looks like http://www.mysite.com, browsing to a secure page like https://mysite.com will bring up this error message: “You are viewing a page on a website that you haven’t created a connection to.”
TechNote: The default method of uninstalling a Studio 8 application does not automatically remove the user preferences and configuration files.
TechNote: When automating product installation in volume license environments, special action is required to distribute files that disable product activation and registration.
