Use network I/O logging to log operations and identify problems

(TechNote) Contribute 3.x and 4 customers who encounter any of the following problems may wish to take advantage of the new Net I/O Logging feature:

* Difficulty creating a connection
* Problems with creating or editing site files
* General Contribute performance problems

The Net I/O Logging feature allows Contribute to generate log files. These log files include detailed information about Contribute performance, including information about reading and writing files to the site(s). A review of the file may help users identify the cause of any problems when creating a connection as well as indicate any network problems.

FTP Server Checker

(TechNote) The FTP Server Checker enables users to diagnose problems when a connection cannot be established in Contribute using FTP. The tool checks the compatibility between the FTP server and Contribute, then generates a report to help to identify issues between the server and Contribute.

If the report does not clarify FTP compatibility problems, then send the report to Adobe for further analysis.

While inserting a link to a .PDF file by browsing to the file, the document opens in Acrobat Reader not in the preview window.
