Participants in the training will engage in the following agenda:
1) Overview of the Adobe Digital Publishing Solution
2) Building a Digital Magazine
a) Creating a static page layout
b) Creating a magazine issue comprised of multiple pages
c) Installing the viewer on an iPad to view the magazine issue
e) Using tools to create interactive content on a page
g) Placing metadata in your magazine and why this is important
h) Using InDesign Creative Suite 5 to create interactive content in your magazine
i) Publishing and distributing your magazine in the Apple App Store and other marketplaces

Who should come:
We encourage editorial workflow consultants for the media industry, Solution Partners and System Integrators to attend. Individuals should be design and production oriented with a good knowledge of Adobe InDesign and creating interactive content.

We will cover the following topics:

Welcome & Introduction.
Adobe’s Digital Publishing extensibility Roadmap. Learn about Adobe’s tools and services to publish to the iPad and other Tablet devices that will support Flash later this year. We will explain opportunities for solutions partners to work with Adobe’s Digital Publishing Platform.

Creative Suite update. Adobe will give an overview of the upcoming CS release with a focus on InDesign and ePublishing.

Partner Program update. Adobe’s partner and developer programs

CS SDK and Extension Builder update. Advanced capabilities for InDesign including the dynamic generation of AS libraries, scriptable plug-ins, inter-application communication e.t.c

Partners attending must sign an NDA before entering the room.

The purpose of this update is to provide visibility to the following planned Adobe IT backend system outage scheduled for Sept. 11, 2010, 7PM – 12PM PDT. During this time period, the Portal and Partner ESD will be unavailable to partners, possible impacting access to software, tools e.t.c.
