Layout Text tool
Create text that you can easily lay out, format, and flow between text boxes.

Art Text tool
Use the Art Text tool to create text for titles and labels.

| Apply a stroke to the text | Choose Selection Editor > Style, and then click either the Solid or Gradient button under the Pencil icon. | ||
| Apply a fill to the text | Choose Selection Editor > Style, and then click either the Solid or Gradient button under the Paint Bucket icon. | ||
| Modify gradient colors and direction | Use the Gradient Fill tool. | ||
| Apply a drop shadow | Choose Selection Editor > Filters > Add Filter > General > Drop Shadow. This also adds drop shadow to the filters available in the Filters submenu. |
You cannot change individual characters in art text. To change individual characters, use the Layout Text tool.
