Junk comment issue solved

The issue related to all comments landing in the junk section has been finally resolved. From now on commenters will have to type the word ‘Fireworks‘ to ensure that the comment is a valid one and not from an automated source which will automatically trigger it as a junk.

It is a mandatory field when a comment is posted. I have dug out all the issues and replied to them. Incase you do not find them replied to, please enter a new comment and I will look at them and try to see what is the next course of action for me and the team

User comments going to junk

Hi All,

I noticed that all the comments from you are now going to Junk comments section. I have raised an alarm internally.

Also I have managed to find all the legitimate comments from the junk section. If you still do not find your comment answered to in the next couple of days, please write a new one.

This will help me in answering your queries in speed.

My website…now live!

A long cherished dream is finally taking shape and I am already feeling elated with the outcome. The excitement and joyous feeling is for the launch of my website at www.sarthaksinghal.com.

Apart from working at Adobe Systems in Fireworks team, I try to stay close to nature. This could be spending a long day at the botanical garden or the nearby locality park. Exploring off city limits and indulging in some travel for treks also lets me be close to Mother nature.

The travel is on multiple occasions not limited to landscape and extends to heritage sites, new city explorations and others. On all these trips and journeys I manage to capture some photos.

The captured photos let people get a glimpse of my journey and see the place through my lens. The website launched shows some of the moments which I consider as my good ones. The photographer page lists different themes under which the photos have been arranged.

Being a traveler and blogger, the site also has a blog section, www.sarthaksinghal.com/blog which gives a detailed description of the trip experience in the form of a travelogue and the trip photos. I am hopeful that it will equip a traveler with better means to plan for their itinerary and have a great time.

Feedback, critique, comments, suggestions are all welcome.

A simple roll over behavior

Adobe Fireworks
has always allowed designers to do some developers’ job without any code writing. A simple example of such a scenario is the creation of roll over behaviors.

Such behaviors are exported in the html from Fireworks which are Java script based. The current web trends make this possible through CSS but remember Fireworks is a graphic design application and is used for rapidly prototype for the web and creating quick experience related mock ups.

Select behind placed objects

Objects can be placed behind some other objects and visually are hidden. They are accessible only from the layers panel. User do various workarounds like cut the object and then make edit and finally paste it back on the canvas. Another option is to turn off the visibility of object but this can be difficult when the file houses many layers and objects nested with in it.

In the following video, I showcase you the presence of "Select Behind tool" which will let you select the object behind an existing one, sub-selecting it, moving it, nudging and making edits to it.
