Update planned for Fireworks CS5

This is just to inform all the users of Adobe Fireworks CS5 that there is an update planned for its release. The update will have all the features of Fw CS5.1 and few more crashes fixed.

  • One major crash/hang trend we have seen in the recent past is when saving a file which has some bitmap objects.
  • Another crash is related to text tool

We will keep you posted on the exact dates of update release, which should be soon now!

You may want to replace “and few more crashes” with “and fixes a few more crashes” : )

      Thanks !! 🙂
We fixed a few crashes also instead of injecting them. Ha ha.

If you could make it not open every document full screen and open them only as big as they need to be, like it used to do in CS3 then I’d be completely ecstatic.

Opening 10+ tiny icon files has become an exercise in frustration since you added tab support (which I refuse to use) and this bug appeared.

    (Mac version BTW)

Thank you for the additional bug fixes. Keep the fixes coming! 🙂

  4. I’ve got the current version of Fireworks CS5 (11.0.0.484 – at least the Adobe Updater says that’s the latest) and I’m still experiencing crashes with the text tool. In fact, I can’t even use the text tool, I have to copy and paste text from other apps.

Any plans to resolve this recognized bug?
