Pandora, your Flash-based jukebox

I’ve been listening to Pandora a lot lately- it’s a really cool front-end to the Music Genome Project, letting you choose a favorite artist or song, and then letting Pandora create a custom ‘station’ for you- streaming the music down to your browser/Flash Player. Nice way to explore musicspace on your own terms- check it out!

Wow! I had no idea this, or the Music Genome Project even existed! Where have I been? This is great, Scott! Thanks for posting the link! Do I sound too excited? (smile)

Hey, this is pretty cool! It’s killing my CPU though:( Firefox memory usage goes through the roof as well. (I’m using Firefox 1.5 and Flash 7)

  4. Terry- definitely hop up to Flash Player 8 as soon as possible, you’ll likely see a better CPU profile:'t the project great? I’d been looking for a really good heuristical engine to suggest new artists (I’m a musical sponge) when I stumbled across the MGP, and subsequently heard of Pandora. It’s not my primary jukebox mind you, but I use it any time I find myself border with my current playlists, to great effect… :)
