Online Community in Latin America
I received an email from Adolfo Rozenfeld a long time After Effects user in Argentina. He told me about an online resource for Latin America (or in reality for anyone conversant in Spanish) Dotzero. Thanks, Adolfo!
Sadly my Spanish has gotten rusty over the years from lack of use, but Babelfish did a decent job of translating the articles I read.
While on the topic of Spanish, After Effects 7.0 was localized for the first time in Spanish (and Italian) this cycle.

Thank you so much for mentioning this, Steve!
And of course all Spanish speaking users are invited to visit the web site! We always wished to make the content available also in English, but don't have the resources for that currently.
As for the localized Spanish version of AE, that has been a subject of an interesting discussion. While in many countries (like Spain, for instance) many will be extremely happy with the news, it seems people here don't want a Gaussian Blur to be called something else. For them (or us) Gaussian Blur, Frame Blending (or PixelMotion) probably are not English terms but computer graphics terms :)
