64-bit native

ここ数年、特に今年になってから制作環境の64-bit化について相談受けることが多くなりました。私自身もセミナーでProduction Premiumの64-bit対応について話をしていますし、より多くのデータをスムーズに扱いたいというのはいつの時代になっても変わらないテーマですよね。
先日After Effectsのプロダクトマネージャー Michael ColemanがBlogに「将来のリリースでは64-bitネイティブ対応となり、64-bitのみのサポート」とコメントしました。あわせて、64-bitへの最適化を説明しているホワイトペーパーにも「FAQ: Future releases of Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects will only support 64-bit operating systems」と題して、将来のバージョンのAdobe Premiere ProおよびAfter Effectsが64-bit OSのみをサポートすることについて説明しています。
