Work seamlessly between FrameMaker 10 and Documentum and Sharepoint CMS (post 2 of 2)

Hello everyone,

As promised, here is the second post in the series. Today, I am going to be describing functionality related to dependency management and searching through the CMS connectors.

Identifying and working with dependencies

Through the CMS connectors for MS Sharepoint (registered) and EMC Documentum (registered), you can quickly see any dependencies one file has on others, such as cross references and related links. You can even get a list of all files referenced in a ditamap. Once you have the list, you can then check out and work on any of those files immediately, without having to locate them in the repository.

Searching content stored on the CMS

You can search for content from files that are in the repository right from the Repository Manager in FrameMaker

Hope you will find these features useful. I will be posting in the coming weeks on additional, exciting functionality in FrameMaker 10 and FrameMaker Server 10. Until then..

Cheers,

Kapil Verma
