FrameMaker keyboard shortcuts reference

At work, there are barely any shortcuts that are good in the long run. FrameMaker’s keyboard shortcuts are those rare safe choices!

But there are always those few keyboard shortcuts that elude you just when you need them the most–when you are holding down the Alt key and wondering what to press next!

But not any more! Here’s a ready reckoner of some commonly used FrameMaker keyboard shortcuts.

Here’s a PDF for on-screen viewing, and here’s a PDF for printing. Latter is an A3-sized poster that you can print on an A4-sized paper.

Access all of the shortcuts here in the documentation.

Do share your commonly used FM shortcuts in the comments.

“At work, there are barely any shortcuts that are good in the long run.” In my experience, the problem is not that keyboard shortcuts change all the time. In fact, I can’t remember the last time I had that problem.

It’s much more annoying that shortcuts are inconsistent between different products:
An en-dash in Word is “Ctrl + Num -”; in Frame it is Ctrl+q Shift+p.
Ctrl+Return in Word adds a page break; in Frame it adds table rows.

Thanks so much for the shortcuts. Keystrokes save so much time!

Isn’t this fairly incomplete? I have a printout of an old PDF created by a FM third party developer … it is basically 2 11×17″ pages.
