Over the next few days, we’re in Amsterdam for this year’s IBC Show, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll be showcasing some great new video technologies that are really helping the broadcast and video industries to evolve and meet the demands of today’s viewing public!

One of the highlights for us will be the reveal of Adobe Anywhere for video – a modern, collaborative workflow platform that will give teams using our professional video tools – such as Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects – the ability to work together across virtually any network, using shared media. They’re products that together with the rest of our Creative Suite Production Premium and Creative Cloud, are being using by a number of the leading broadcasters and global news agencies, including the Associated Press, Bloomberg and CNN.

We’re also announcing several new collaborations with broadcast solution partners at the show who will support integrated workflows with our video tools. These include media asset management and graphics companies who are leading in the broadcast news and sports sectors – such as Chyron, Dalet, EVS and Vizr.

Not only that, but anyone with Final Cut Pro or Avid who fancies switching to Adobe CS6 Production Premium or Creative Cloud, can take advantage of a promotion we’re currently running offering up to 40% off! You can find all the information on the Adobe website.

If you’re at the show, be sure to pay us a visit. We’ll be at the Adobe booth in Hall 7, Booth 7.G27 in the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre. For anyone that didn’t make it to Amsterdam, we’ll be keeping everyone up to speed on the show from here.

Let us know what you think of this year’s show and are most excited about seeing!

Adobe Muse is a new tool available to Creative Cloud subscribers which lets graphic designers create websites without writing code. Today, we’re releasing a new version of Muse that includes built-in support for contact forms. In addition, this new version is now available in Japanese.

The new support for built-in contact forms allows you to easily add, configure, and style contact forms within your website designs. By using this new feature, you no longer have to embed HTML code from 3rd-party online form providers. This is just the beginning of work the Muse product team is doing to bring more extensive content management capabilities directly into the product through tighter integration with our site hosting platform, Adobe Business Catalyst. This video shows how easy it is to work with contact forms.

We’ve also added the ability to add and link to downloadable files of any type including .pdf, .zip, .dmg, & .exe, as well as support for HTML5 animations created with Adobe Edge. There’s more, so be sure to read the release notes to find out all the new goodies in this updated version of Muse.

If you already have Muse installed, just open the app and click “Install Now” on the updater screen to get these new features. If you have yet to try it, download it here on Creative Cloud.

We went out with a bang on Day 5 of #CreativeWeekUK with a packed studio for our very last live debate. Four great panellists – Glyn Dewis (@GlynDewis), Erin Moroney (@erin_moroney), Timothy Allen (@timothy_photo) and Richard Curtis (@richardcurtis) – spent the best part of an hour debating whether digital photography is ‘all tech and no talent’. All the talk around digital retouching certainly kept things interesting and the discussion continued long after the cameras stopped rolling – both in the studio and on Twitter. It was the perfect end to #CreativeWeekUK.

Throughout #CreativeWeekUK, thousands of you got involved on Twitter by tweeting your questions and opinions to the #CreativeWeekUK hashtag. In fact the latest figures show that in total #CreativeWeekUK was mentioned 5,443 times. And thanks to you all, we even trended on Twitter!

All the live shows were broadcast online from studios in the heart of London, and we were very lucky to have Tower Bridge as our backdrop for the week. But if you missed any of it, or want to watch some of the lively debates, show and tell sessions or product showcases again, then you can download it all on-demand at your leisure from here.

The question on everyone’s lips was whether smaller production budgets make for more original content. Day 3 of #CreativeWeekUK saw us discuss how smaller budgets have become a natural by-product of the contracting broadcast and cinematography markets, and the implications that has had on creativity and quality standards.

We were joined by three great panelists for our live debate at the start of the day. Dan Jones (Maverick TV), Marc Goodchild (ex BBC) and Justin Weyers (Made Visual Studios) chatted about everything from independent productions and YouTube testing, right through to how the skills of hungry graduates can be best used in industry and what the future of video production has in store.

As always, the #CreativeWeekUK Twitter community played a huge part in the debate, with contributions including whether new technologies and production tools raise standards or just client expectations. And they also had their say in our daily poll with 90% of people agreeing that smaller budgets do make for more original content. What can we say…get creating!

We also welcomed Jason Levine over from the US who spent some time showing off the latest video tools Adobe has to offer including the new, streamlined Premiere Pro interface.

If you want to catch up on any of this week’s shows, then be sure to visit our website. Plus there’s still time to get involved in the final couple of days of #CreativeWeekUK by taking part in our competition. We’d love to hear from you!

After our first buzzing Twitter Chat last week (resulting in us trending in the UK!), we can’t wait to discuss the glittering world of film and video this Thursday. Join us at the same time (6.30pm – 7.30pm) on Twitter and use #CreativeWeekUK to take part.

Recently, there’s been growing pressure for production companies to deliver more for less and we can’t wait to hear your view on whether this is leading to lower standards, or driving the industry forward with renewed creativity. Some of the topics up for discussion include;

Are quality standards being affected by reduced budgets – or are studios forcing more creative solutions instead?

How could clients make it easier for you to do great work within their budget and timescale requirements?

Do clients just expect you to do more with less, or are they approaching you with less ambitious ideas?

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this and the other questions we’ll be posing, so follow @AdobeUK to watch the conversation from the start.

Remember, everyone who uses #CreativeWeekUK in their tweets during the Twitter Chat will automatically be in with a chance of winning tickets to the Film & Video day of Creative Week on Wednesday 11th July, which will be jam-packed with exclusive demos, lively debates, creative challenges and inspirational case studies!

If you aren’t one of the lucky ticket holders, we’ll be broadcasting all the sessions live online, so why not register now?

The name Wayne Hemingway might ring just a few bells – the top English designer and co-founder of Red or Dead has long been a real trailblazer for British creativity. We were lucky enough to take a few minutes out of his busy schedule to get his views on all things creative, why Britain is a creative force to be reckoned with, how digital is democratising design and what part Adobe plays in helping the fashion industry move forward.

Ever wondered what goes through the mind of a leading illustrator during the creative process? We grabbed 5 minutes with leading illustrator Mr Bingo to find out just that! Speaking at the recent Adobe CS6 and Creative Cloud launch in London, Mr Bingo talks about going to the pub for inspiration, setting up shoots, developing his ideas from initial sketch to digital animation and shares his secret for client success!

He also talks about how Adobe products like Photoshop and Flash transformed the way he worked, helping speed up the process and facilitate his creativity.
