The UK’s first ever Creative Week is finally here! The event, which is a celebration of the creativity in the UK, kicked off on Monday with an overview of the creative industries – and what an overview it was!

And if you missed the live show, don’t worry because the sessions are all available on-demand here at the end of each day. That’s also where you can stay tuned for all the action during the rest of the week. Whether you’re a design nut, film buff, mobile fiend or photography pro, there’s something for everyone, so stay tuned!

We kicked off the creative industry overview with a lively panel discussion between Brendan Dawes, Joel Gethin Lewis and Dr Chris Gerry who gathered in the studio with presenter David McClelland to discuss if creativity can help drive the UK out of recession. With the magnificent setting of Tower Bridge behind them, the debate flowed for almost an hour, and those watching online had their say too with a whopping 88% of people that took part in our daily poll agreeing that creativity is a huge factor in stimulating economic growth and solving problems.

The evangelist demos and show-and-tell sessions that followed included jaw-dropping tips and tricks for Illustrator CS6 and Photoshop CS6, which were all received with relish and resulted in our #CreativeWeekUK Twitter followers going crazy about the black magic and special sauce Adobe uses in its products! Go to our on-demand hub if you missed it and want to see for yourself what was so special.

And that was just the first day! Carry on following all the action on Twitter using #CreativeWeekUK. And don’t just stay behind your screen, get involved through our competitions and audience challenges.

We’ve had a couple of weeks now to catch our breath since we launched Creative Cloud and Creative Suite 6 at the end of April. We’ve had such a great response from everyone about the new products that it’s definitely made all the hard work worth it.

Now we’re excited to announce that Creative Cloud is available as of today (11th May), and follows the shipping of Creative Suite 6 earlier this week (7th May). Our industry standard products are available to buy just as they ever were as individual point products or as a collection (Design Standard, Design & Web Premium, Production Premium and the Master Collection).

But for the first time, we’re also giving our customers a radical new way to access our tools and services through Creative Cloud, a membership based offering in which you get the complete Creative Suite 6 – including the likes of Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, After Effects, Flash Pro, Illustrator and Dreamweaver.

As well as the CS6 product line, with Creative Cloud you also get Adobe Muse, our new visual web design tool, and Edge, the HTML5 animation app. To this, we added a lot of services including Business Catalyst for web hosting, Typekit for fonts, and up to 20 gigabytes of cloud storage for syncing and sharing your files. Soon, we’ll also add access to our iPad publishing service for making digital editions of content such as magazines via InDesign.

Perhaps most exciting of all is that you get all this at a great price – £38.11 (ex VAT) per month based on an annual subscription). The award came amongst stiff competition from the likes of Hipstamatic and Photosynth, so we are very proud of the award.

Adobe Photoshop Express is a free app for simple photo fixes and enhancements, and sharing to social networks. Commenting on the win, Michael Brook, Editor-in-chief for Appys.com said “Photoshop has been the standard for photo-editing for years and the smartphone version makes complex image manipulation a thing of mind-blowing simplicity”.

So a great well done to the Adobe PhotoShop Express team, and thanks again to Carphone Warehouse and all at Appys.com

Don’t forget you can download PhotoShop Express in the iTunes or Google Play Stores.
