Premiere Pro Training Curriculum

For the first time, Adobe is offering Adobe Premiere Pro Official Training Curriculum.  The Official Training Curriculum offers students entering the industry or seasoned professionals the necessary skillset to use Adobe Premiere Pro for their editing needs. The goal of the Adobe Premiere Pro Official Training Curriculum is to ensure quality, consistency and accessibility of Adobe Premiere Pro training worldwide.

There are two types of courses that Adobe makes available to you:

An Introduction to Adobe Premiere Pro (101)
This entry-level course teaches students to perform essential editing techniques while becoming familiar with the Adobe Premiere Pro user interface. This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video with Adobe Premiere Pro and uses hands-on and interactive instruction to best explore its functionality. The course is designed for new users who have no substantial editing experience.

Adobe Premiere Pro for Experience Editors (250)
This course teaches experienced editors how to navigate Adobe Premiere Pro and helps give them insights on how to use Adobe Premiere Pro within the Creative Suite Production Premium workflow. This class is designed for students who are making the transition to Adobe Premiere Pro from another nonlinear editing platform.

We recommend you order the Adobe Premiere Pro CS5/CS5.5 Classroom Training – Teacher Bundle. This bundle contains the required materials for both courses (101 and 250): books, videos contained in both student bundles, plus classroom setup guides and teacher supplements. This bundle will equip you to learn Adobe Premiere Pro as well as help you teach the 101 course in your classroom.

If you wish to order this bundle as well as classroom materials, visit the Peachpit Press website to order: http://www.peachpit.com/premieretraining

Adobe Certifications
The curriculum supports Adobe Certifications for Adobe Premiere Pro. The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exam demonstrates basic, entry-level skills with Adobe Premiere Pro and entry-level skills in communication based on Adobe Premiere Pro software. Students and emerging professionals are invited to take the Adobe Certified Associate Exam available through Prodigy Learning www.prodigysolutions.com

The Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) demonstrates advanced, professional-level skills with Adobe Premiere Pro.  ACE certification is recognized worldwide as a standard for Adobe software expertise. We recommend ACE candidates attend both of the Premiere Pro courses (or equivalent) and have 1-2 years film editing experience. To become an ACE, you must pass the product-specific proficiency exam and agree to the ACE terms and conditions. Professionals are invited to take the Adobe Certified Expert Exam available through Pearson VUE. To find a testing center near you, visit Pearson VUE’s website.
