Free: Adobe EchoSign Now Available on iOS Devices

Here’s another example of iOS applications from Adobe. With the increasing number of legal requirements placed on educational institutions and the need to protect the integrity of pupil data; EchoSign has a role to play keeping sensitive data secure. Here’s the announcement:

Free Application for Signing, Sending, Tracking and Filing Contracts on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch Devices
December 21, 2011 05:05 PM Eastern Time

SAN JOSE, Calif.–(EON: Enhanced Online News)–Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced the immediate availability of the free Adobe® EchoSign® application for iOS devices. Now, users can easily get access to their EchoSign accounts and sign documents directly from their iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. The Adobe EchoSign application is available today for free download on the iTunes App Store.

With the new Adobe EchoSign application, users can:

  • Send a document for legally-binding eSignature and get documents signed in minutes rather than days
  • Get documents signed instantly on an iPad or iPhone when meeting a signer in person
  • Send documents from an EchoSign library, photo album, email attachment or from other applications
  • Track the status of agreements with real-time status updates
  • View signed agreements stored in an EchoSign account

The Adobe EchoSign app offers the same protection as the Adobe EchoSign Web service for both the sender and the signer during the signing process, including key authentication and privacy, fraud protection, and consumer disclosure.

Quotes

Jason Lemkin, vice president of Web business services, Adobe and former CEO, EchoSign

  • “The enterprise is experiencing unprecedented adoption of tablets and mobile devices, presenting new opportunities to leverage cloud applications to streamline business processes and greater efficiency. With the Adobe EchoSign app, we’re making it that much easier for organizations to incorporate Web contracting into their business models, allowing users to sign documents and send documents for signing right from their iOS device. The end result is a higher rate of contract completion in less time, leading to increased productivity.”

Acquired by Adobe in July 2011, Adobe EchoSign is the leading electronic signatures and signature automation service with over 4,000,000 users and 50,000 customers worldwide. Adobe EchoSign is a key component of Adobe’s document exchange services platform for reliably exchanging documents for universal access, review and approval.

Automatic Duck Tools for Free

Wes Plate is the founder of Automatic Duck and now the Adobe Broadcast Engineering Product Manager for film, tv and broadcast pipelines inside Production Premium.

Adobe aquired Automatic Duck and made their engineering team part of the Broadcast  Open Workflow team. These plug-ins allow for FCP & Avid users to get their sequences out of FCP or Avid to Premiere Pro or After Effects.

The availability of these tools means that Adobe has a way to migrate ALL Apple FCP & Avid Media Composer timelines & sequences to Adobe’s Production Premium. The announcement from Wes Plate stated:

October 28, 2011

If you missed our mail last month you should check it out as it got a lot of people talking. Today we have a follow-up.

Our web site has relaunched* and while the overall look of the site is similar there is a dramatic difference in how we are distributing our plug-ins.

Starting today Pro Import AE, Pro Import FCP and Pro Export FCP (both versions, for FCP7 and FCPX) are available at no charge. You read this right. Free.

We are unable to provide support at the same level as we have over the years, but we didn’t want these plug-ins to go away while they remain useful. So if you can make use of these plug-ins in your projects, enjoy!

Thank you to all of our users, working with you for the last 10 1/2 years was a truly wonderful experience.

- Wes and Harry
