What do your students expect?

I recently read a US report “The 21st Century Campus: Are we there yet?” from CDW Government which states that students highly value technology in education. When asked whether technology was an important factor in choosing a university, the vast majority of students rated it as “very important” or “important”, whether they were pursing vocational & technical studies (90%) or communications degrees (89%), engineering degress (79%), or business degrees (78%).  In contrast, only 32% of US students said they “strongly agreed” that their colleges or universities were preparing them to use technology successfully in their future careers.

So is this view shared by UK students, or are UK HEI leading the way?  To that end, we’d like to hear from your thoughts about how you’re preparing your students for success.  We’ll then review your collective thoughts and share your opinions back to the community.

As a thank you for any UK HEI faculty/staff completing the short survey today (i.e. before 5pm, BST) we’ll send you (within 3 working days) the new Photoshop Touch App which is now available for the iPad and Android tablets. To receive one, all you need to do is tick the box on the form and let us know the email address linked to your iTunes account or your Android account.

If you’d like to take part in this research (either as an anonymous or named participant), please complete the following form.

Thanks in advance for your help!
