I have a SharePoint 2010 Server installed along ifilter 9.0. The search works fine for most of the pdfs, but not showing results when the pdf is protected. This don't happens in MOSS 2007

I’m having the same issue as Tom benjamin. Because the default selection is “check out & Open” everyone in the organisation tends to check out files which they shouldn’t. this continually blocks other people accessing the files and users dont even know to check back in. Can we somehow put the default on Read-only open only?

Please please help
