http://idpf.org/epub/linking/cfi/epub-cfi.html#sec-overview

I need to maintain some id in paragraph of the epub file, just like below:

        ...

        ...
        ...
        ...
        ...
        xxx<em>yyy</em>0123456789
        ...
        ...

        ...
        ...

Is there any method to do this in InDesign? Thank you.

I ended up soving my TOC-trouble, but... and this is an important but... what the ... is going on with external links? I use thumbnails and links to bigger images on the web, and they all look perfectly fine in the book. but when I view - and I do this in two different readers - some links are missing - and it is not the same links in the two readers. WHAT HAPPENS? And how do you make links work - all of them - and regardles of reader?

and why the... is this epub thing not in the DW so that you can make a html-doc and check out the code and links directly and make sure, it looks right for epub?

well, thing is - if I leave out the mark in 'use indesign toc style' (and define) in the export menu, I get a menu in some readers, and the in-doc TOC I've made (which works perfectly when exported to PDF), but if I do use the 'use ID toc' - I get neither the 'external' toc - or the one working as PDF.
when not ticked I can export to PDF fine - but all links in the epub links to the first page.
there is nothing in the oreilly page that answers this.
