Can I install both CS6 and CC apps on my computer?

totem-creative-cloud-80x80Yes. Its fine to have both versions installed on your computer. A CS6 version can co-exist with a CC version without causing any trouble. Sometimes, you need both versions to be able to work with multiple clients and deliverables.

Your Creative Cloud membership also includes access to CS6 apps. So if you ever need the CS6 version, head over to, sign in, and download a CS6 app. For instructions on how to install CS6 apps see: Install CS6 app with Creative Cloud.

I have cs 6 and had cc 2015 but that disappeared when it was updated to cc 2015. Because of the oil filter i would like to have cc 2014 back as well. Is this possible ? Another problem is that the updates of cc 2015 dont work, error 49. Ive tried all solutions that were advised on the internet but its not updating.
    Can someone please help me?

I’ve had CS6 Master Collection for a few years and a few back I purchased CC. I can’t afford CC anymore, but anytime I try to open any CS6 apps, the Application Manager asks me to renew my subscription. How do I use the CS6 apps that I already had?

Assuming you’re still using Photoshop CS6 and that this message reaches you in time despite being three years later, installing any CC application, which will install Bridge CC, will break the functionality of Mini Bridge within Photoshop CS6.

Thank you for this info, but I still there are NO options within the CC Cloud to download previous versions of Acrobat!!? I really need Acrobat 9 (CS6). Can this be accomplished?

I have CS6 applications installed on my computer. Through work I ended up with a creative cloud membership. I am retiring and have been removed from that membership. Now my CS6 products will not work. Every time I try to use a CS6 product it goes looking for my CC license and tells me I am no longer a member. I have uninstalled CC, run the scrubber, uninstalled and reinstalled the CS6 applications and the problem still persists. I just want to go back to my CS6 app and forget that CC ever existed. How can I do this?

I’m having the exact same problem! Did you ever get it resolved?

Were you ever able to get adobe to resolve this issue? I need my Illustrator that was installed prior to the cloud – what do i do? I can’t work this job without it and can’t afford the membership unless i get paid to do the work that i can’t do because i don’t have my paid for version of illustrator any longer because of CC membership lapse.

because we have some clients with CS6 and some with CC so is it possible to use both simultaneously?

I have a small printing business with 3 CS6 perpetual licenses. For 99% of our jobs, CC is not necessary. CS6 is quite sufficient. I had to subscribe to CC for 1 major customer. I want to run CC when working on files for that customer. But, want to run CS6 when working on all other files so the other workstations can also access those files. Can I run CS6 and CC on my computer — keeping them separate?

This is a very bad thing for those of us who are on the edge financially. I can’t believe that I can’t use CS 6 anymore. Work pays for my subscription, I am being laid off and now I can’t use my CS 6? I like to use Adobe, but I guess I will have to move on to other cheaper software.

Typical Adobe – I’m really angry – I unfortunately installed Photoshop CC on my computer along with my paid version of CS6 and now that I am no longer wanting the free copy I got through school, every time I open my CS6, it asks for a license. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!!! I NEED MY PAID VERSION BACK. How can I do that? Please, someone answer!

Just ran into the same problem. In order to being able to use my CS6 again I just had to logout in the CC App in the menu (on a Mac).

For those of you stuck with a request to renew CC in order to use your CS6, I had this problem yesterday. See my post here:

I have the same problem with CS6 and a now defunct CC licence. When I initially reinstalled CS6 I tested it and it all worked but that was a few weeks back. Now I am trying to use it again I can’t. Is there a solution for a PC
