My first day in Adobe was Mar 18, 2009, which is my lucky day. It was a funny trip getting prepared and going through interviews by Adobe, I was greatly impressed by the cool work environment and nice people therein.
It totally took me 2 failures before I finally made a successful shot in Flash Player team. I received the first interview appointment call when I was in new year vacation at home, it was a nice lady’s voice, asking me to take the initial face2face interview at 22nd floor, A tower of Tsinghua Science Park, it was a moment of excitement – the first step forward to this great company.
I booked ticket to Beijing immediately and take train back the second day to catch up with the interview on that weekend, a beautiful Sunday with clean sunshine. I failed this interview with the interviewing manager’s comment “guy, you’re young for this senior position, I would call you later once I have positions suitable for you”, she did call me later on but at that moment I was already a member of Flash Player.
The second call for interview is from another QE team, I spent the whole night picking up test related knowledge before the interview day, I had very happy talk with the interviewers and go through 3 rounds of interviews smoothly, however, the final interviewer told me that “you are a very good developer with quite comprehensive theoretical knowledge for test, but the pity is you did little test work in your previous work,” once again, I failed.
Memories of those days are always popping up in my mind together with the beautiful songs by Jack Johnson, he’s a really cool man singing really cool songs, you could hear “never know” in “Sculpting in time Cafe”@ Wudaokou or you could come across “good people” in a CD store along Houhai street in a sunny Sunday afternoon. The songs fed me with passion and momentum to march on my Adobe road.
Up to now, I have been here for 1 year and 18 days, I would say this is a cool company with nice people, a company that would provide everyone with opportunities for personal development, there of course are shortcomings in some aspects but I believe Adobe China will be more and more successful in coming years as more and more elites are coming to join.

Xiaowei, I’m very glad to be the first to leave a comment.加油:)

I will need to google about few things you have mentioned in your artcile to make sure. But anyway thanks for the great effort and good luck on writing other articles. P.S sorry for bad English, I aren’t English native speaker.
