Presentation file (Traditional Chinese)

I'll host a 3 hour seminar for Acrobat 9 to Government customer at June 5.
I'm still waiting the official release of Reader 9.

What's the usage?
(1) PDF Portfolio in one PDF = RFP -> Proposal -> Review -> Presentation -> Close project
Customer: RFP in PDF Portfolio containing some fillable PDF forms.
Vendor: Reply RFP and append proposals to the PDF Portfolio.
Customer: Using Collect to merge RFP responses into CSV or XML.
Customer: Distribute vendors' proposals to reviewers. (Benefit: Reader only)
Vendor: Formal presentation (Benefit: Adobe Reader 9 contains Flash Player 9 and all video are converted automatically into Flash Video format. They are 100% cross-platform and self-sustainable)
Customer: Close project and summarize a report based on RFP and proposals

(2) Whenever you try to email / send-via-IM / copy-to-USB with a compressed file,
I suggest you can use PDF Portfolio instead. One PDF for worrying less and managing less.

(3) High compression in PDF. All contents can be converted to PDF in one-click.

Here's a training material (Traditional Chinese) for Acrobat 8 Professional.

(1) Guide (Presentation)
(2) How To (Step-by-step Hands on)

I hosted this training for four districts from Feb to Apr, 2008 talking the advanced usages of Acrobat 8.
(1) Engagement
(2) Long term Archiving -- Special or Self-created characters can be embedded in PDF. That's why PDF is portable and we need PDF to be ISO standard.
(3) PDF Package -- Compressed files always bring virus / malware together. PDF can serve as a container that can contain PDF and other formats (Office, Image) into one PDF package.
(4) Project / Document Management -- Downsizing from 30-MB source files becomes a small 3-MB PDF.
PDF has relatively high compression at Presentation, Photo, Scanned document, and 2D/3D CAD.
(5) Batch processing -- Just one step to finish OCR, Numbering, Adding Watermark and Adding Security for multiple source files.
(6) Review -- Done by Comments, Redaction and Digital Signature easily
(7) Form Design -- for marketing survey and groupware workflow using Acrobat Professional and Reader only.
(8) Add Interaction -- Embedded Flash and movies into one PDF. It's really portable without any bad link.
(9) Tips -- Support RSS, Adobe Labs (Digital Editions, Ads for Adobe PDF, Buzzword, SyncIn, Mars Project)

Here's a training material (Traditional Chinese) for Flash Media Server 3.

I hosted this training in Apr 22, 2008 talking about brief (what are flash, flash video, streaming, product versions), Installation of Flash Media Server (FMS) & Flash Media Encoder (FME), Simple development by Flash CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Device Central CS3, Some reference cases (NetConnection, Playlist with XML, Origin & Edge).

For sample_01, you need to provide a FLV file named as see.flv into the project folder.
For sample_04, the original source is come from Lee Brimelow's XML video playlist tutorial

Prerequisite:
(1) Go to Adobe.com and update the latest Flash Player (i.e. 9.0.115).
With this version, we can stream any H.264 file (e.g. mov, mp4, etc.) without converting to FLV.

(2) Download the Flash Media Server 3 and Flash Media Encoder 2.5 from Adobe.com
-- Without serial number, FMS becomes developer version
(= full functionary of Interactive server + limited to 10 connections)

Highlight:
(1) Point out you can be the next YouTube.
-- Flash Media Server provides Web DVR and Social Media networking. These are very unique features of FMS.
-- Even RealPlayer chooses Adobe Media Player and FMS as their solution because of Web DVR.

(2) 80% web video streaming format is Flash Video
-- The ROI of BBC iPlayer is 800% growth.

(3) Kevin Lin is a concept basis when we try to talk about 24 hours Endurance Run event by Accelerade (a drink) and Dean Karnazes (ultra-marathon man)
-- Live Streaming by FMS. Fully high performance and highly scalable.
-- If someone says we don't have this high bandwidth, you can suggest the following.
-- Suggest using 200-Kbps content instead, so for 5,200 concurrent connections, it needs 1-Gbps only.
-- For Accelerade case, it used 312-Kbps content, so it needs 38-Gbps for 128,000 concurrent connections.
Also, the highest peak of bandwidth is predictable. e.g. at the last 30 minutes.

-- Compared to the poor quality of current web video, Flash 9 provides HD (H.264) quality is the best choice for IPTV.
-- When you try to play some web video, you can highlight the multi-camera switching, editing and replay.
These features can be implemented by FMS, Remix, Premiere and After Effects, etc.
-- Viddler.com provides Commenting / Syndication by FMS
-- MTV, YouTube and PhotoBucket use Adobe Remix (a express version of Adobe Premiere) for online editing.

(5) Ads, content provider, audiences all need the creative thing.
-- You can see many great samples of user generated content.
e.g. If you are the guy of guys, you must watch Spike TV (Viacom)
-- FMS provides Video-on-Demand (VOD)

(6) Taking photo (e..g. at 101), sharing video --- all because of the Wisdom of Crowds.
-- FMS provides mobile streaming by Flash Lite 3.

Here's a training material (English) for Forms and Process design in LiveCycle ES.

I hosted this training in Dec 6, 2007 talking about Designer ES, Workbench ES, LiveCycle Administration, Foundation and Reader extensions.

Prerequisite:
(1) Install LiveCycle ES in server or in local.
I use Reader Extensions in my sample. It'll be better if you can install this.
(2) Samples can be downloaded from Download file.
This training is very straight forward so it's OK if you want to use your samples.
(3) Install a Workbench ES to each client.
In the presentation file, "P01" to "P04" are working steps from page to page.
and the "localhost" should be replaced by your server URL.
