Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen addresses summer interns

The room was abuzz with excited conversation and energy. After a delicious breakfast, Adobe’s San Jose and San Francisco interns settled into their seats while other interns connected from Lehi, Seattle and New York. More than 150 interns who are making an impact at Adobe this summer were enthusiastically welcomed and addressed by CEO Shantanu Narayen. As he spoke about Adobe, business, work, life and beyond, Shantanu encouraged the potential future employees of Adobe to create impact and transform through involvement and innovation. It was such an engaging and open discussion.

Shantanu also had advice for University students in the room who were asking him questions about the company and his career path. Here’s some of them:

  • Follow your passion – The likelihood of succeeding is so much higher if you follow your passions.
  • Listen to your gut – If you believe in an idea, follow it through. Shantanu shared that Adobe wouldn’t be where it is today had our founders John Warnock and Chuck Geschke not stuck to their gut and believed in themselves.
  • Complete your degree – “Stay in school, get your degree and then come work for Adobe,” Shantanu said.
