Adobe employees are entitled to a wellness subsidy which can be used on any fitness activity, including but not limited to swimming, kayaking, lift tickets, gymnastics, rock climbing, and skydiving. Eric G., Market Researcher in the Globalization team based in Beijing, China, has taken full advantage of the wellness incentive program by using it for triathlon competitions.
Rain, hail or shine, Eric always starts his day with at least a 5km run or 1.5km swim. Triathlons are perceived as tough sport but Eric really enjoys them. “It’s all about setting your goals and achieving them. I feel great when I see my time records improve and it keeps me energetic,” says Eric. He appreciates that Adobe not only supports employees’ personal goals but also encourages to stay healthy however they choose.
For now, he is focused on getting ready for the Beijing International triathlon in September. Eric will be competing in the intermediate level, called the “Olympic Distance.” Our Senior Engineering Director, Ning J., has also signed up to participate, but Eric hopes that more of his colleagues would get involved, so they could compete as an Adobe team some day. “Adobe’s wellness incentive program is one of the coolest perks,” he says. “It keeps me motivated to keep running and keep fit.”
