We are now approaching one of our favorite times of the year—intern season! This is normally a time when we welcome hundreds of interns globally and open our doors to them. And despite the current unprecedented situation, we are as eager as ever to welcome our 2020 cohort, with more than 700 interns joining us digitally. These interns will work with our teams across the organization in Engineering, Research, Corporate Functions, and Sales.
With our internship program, we have retailored a number of our programs to the digital space. We will anchor our program around three key pillars – People, Purpose and Pride.
First things first and that’s our people. The wellbeing of our interns is our no. 1 priority and all interns will continue to have access to our renowned benefits, including the ones that focus on their wellbeing and health, which has never been more important.
Our people pillar also includes offering interns the opportunity to learn from and get to know employees across the company. They will get to hear from our executive leadership team, join our employee networks and connect with the intern community.
It has always been our philosophy that interns play a crucial role in the company. When we hire interns, we view them as our future leadership bench. We have had interns who are now Vice Presidents of the company or have even been with us for 25+ years, which is a testament to our exceptional program. We know this year will be no different.
Our Interns can look forward to working on meaningful projects that have widespread impact. In fact, many of our interns have their fingerprints on the products that we ship. There will also be a digital intern project expo where students will have the chance to present their projects to all employees throughout the globe and collaborate on a range of innovations.
As you can imagine, career development is top-of-mind for many of our interns. Our Talent Development team will be hosting a variety of interactive digital training sessions, with topics ranging from building technical skills and product knowledge, how to adapt to change, and how to practice Adobe’s leadership capabilities.
The beauty of an internship with Adobe is exposure to a diversified set of products across the Creative Cloud, Document Cloud and Experience Cloud. Interns will get a chance to immerse themselves in Adobe technology and get to know our customers that span a gamut of industries from automotive to e-commerce, and media and entertainment.
Just like our company mission, the heart of our intern program will be about delivering exceptional experiences. For many of our incoming interns, this will be their first time introduced to a corporate environment, let alone a completely digital internship. With this in mind, everyone at Adobe is focused on helping our interns become #AdobeLife ambassadors, experience critical learning opportunities, build community, and make an impact.
We recognize that we are truly living in unprecedented times and we have had to adapt rapidly to change. However, we take great pride in knowing that we have retained our internship program and are making a difference in the lives and careers of our incoming cohort. They are eager to learn, and we are excited to learn from them as well.
