Adding closed captions to your eLearning courses is a basic requirement to meet accessibility standards like Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. You can easily do so for your audio-based courses by adding narration to your screen, adding slide notes, and then converting those slide notes to closed captions.

As we shared in late October, Adobe Captivate 7 is not yet compatible with the OS X Mavericks update to the Mac operating system. We are actively testing an update for Captivate 7 that will fix compatibility issues with the new Mavericks Operating System. The update for Captivate 7 is expected to be available using the Adobe Update Manager during the third week of November.

Last month at DevLearn 2013 conference, I participated in the 9th Annual eLearning DemoFest event and showcased an Interactive eBook for iPad on how to use Adobe Presenter to create eLearning courses. There were 81 participants at DemoFest showing off their latest and greatest development efforts, offering the DevLearn conference attendees an opportunity to see a wide variety of solutions to common eLearning challenges, and information about the tools, technologies and processes they used to build them.
