Adobe Youth Voices Workshops at ISTE 2012

Are you attending ISTE 2012 in San Diego? Join Adobe Youth Voices for four exciting workshops throughout the conference, intended to support you with incorporating creative lesson plans into your classroom and finding ways to connect with educators and youth media makers around the globe!

All workshops will be held in Room 24 A at the San Diego Convention Center.

This is an opportunity to take a tour of the new Adobe Youth Voices Essentials online community, and to hear firsthand from an educator about his experience using Essentials curriculum in his classroom, while guiding his students to create award winning media.

Discover the power of youth voice through educator-led youth media projects. Using Adobe Photoshop Elements, create a social issue poster using design principles. Learn the step-by-step method for creating meaningful media projects and receive all necessary materials to take it back to your programs.

Documentary Storytelling in the Classroom

Educators learn how to facilitate authentic and inspiring storytelling and bring their students’ stories to life in a short compelling video. Based on the best practices of documentary filmmakers, learn how to guide students to create professional style media projects using simple tools. Educators will be introduced to Premiere Elements video editing.

Social Media and Exhibiting Student Work

Teach digital citizenry by helping young people use media making and social networks for positive social change. Learn from examples of student projects from around the world that are having a positive impact, and engage in hands-on activities that will bring student projects out of the classroom and in dialogue with the world.
