Adobe Stories: Transforming Detroit, “The Empowerment Plan”

I’ve read stories about the demise of Detroit, seen pictures of a semi-desolate downtown, and even heard from some people how the city could be a mirror into the rest of America’s future. But Jeff Wegner sees it another way: “Detroit offers a sense of creative freedom for individuals to take the world into our own hands and design whatever our imagination can create with what we are given.” Read more about Jeff’s commitment to sharing the good things happening in Detroit, and watch the video below about “The Empowerment Plan,” a non profit organization that hires women in shelters, teaching them the sewing and manufacturing skills needed to work full time creating coats for the homeless and disaster relief.
