Creative Camp at SXSW – That’s a Wrap

Our Creative Camp at this year’s SXSW Interactive has officially come to a close. It was a great day filled with rich content and good conversations with attendees. Here’s a quick recap of the day’s highlights.

We started off the day with our tradition, the 5th annual bacon breakfast. You can’t start a productive day without a good breakfast, right? Then, worldwide evangelist Paul Trani jumped into the latest tools and services available in the Adobe Creative Cloud. Paul showed us how individuals and teams can create and collaborate in the Cloud. Then, he showed us how easily we can add animation and interactivity with Edge Animate.

Then, Product Manager Jacob Surber shared the development principles behind the creation of Adobe Edge Reflow. Jacob showed us all the iterations of Reflow’s UI, starting with today and going backwards all the way to the beginning.

Next, we hosted a panel on the realities and challenges of responsive design today with talented panelists: Sophie ShepherdTrent Walton, and Emily Wengert.

Last, Adobe’s Alex Morris presented a session on the “Content shaped elephant in the room.” How can web designers think content first, while reflecting the intent of your message?

Highlight of the day? Probably Jacob’s shirt, “Friends don’t let friends fix widths.”

Adobe Sends Creative Cloud Members Some HTML5 Love for Valentine’s Day!

Today Adobe released a great update for professional Web designers and developers with the release of several new product updates for HTML5 Web tooling.

Leading the release is the first public preview of Edge Reflow, a new responsive design tool that we first showed the community at our Create the Web event in September 2012 when we did a sneak peek of it. We heard from many users wanting to get their hands on Edge Reflow and today we’re happy to make that happen. We look forward to people playing with this very early preview release and telling us what type of features they would like to see added.

We’re also excited to deliver several new feature updates to Edge Animate, Dreamweaver and Edge Code Preview! All these releases are immediately available, exclusively to both free and paid Creative Cloud members. For more information on Adobe Edge Reflow visit html.adobe.com/edge/reflow and for additional details on Creative Cloud, Edge Animate, Dreamweaver, Edge Code preview and other tools available in Creative Cloud, visit www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud.html.
