Audio Gets More Intelligent in Audition CC
Form meets function meets fabulous as Audition CC gets a makeover, hits the gym, and bumps up its IQ a few more points with the smarter tools and powerful workflows you’ve come to expect from Adobe Creative Cloud.
It’s often impossible to capture the perfect performance in the perfect environment, where background noise or room reverb can degrade an otherwise ideal recording. Audition’s new DeReverb and DeNoise effects are built on advanced, machine learning-based algorithms and offer industry-leading results without noise prints, complicated knobs and sliders, or long latencies.
A single slider adjusts how much reduction to apply, and simple buttons adjust which frequency range to focus the processing. In a hurry? These effects are also available inside the Essential Sound panel for one-click restoration and mixing in Audition and Premiere Pro.
Audition looks as good as it sounds with a modern look-and-feel. Clips now pop from the screen with bold colours and cool backgrounds, inverted selections for improved visibility, and reduced clutter.
An updated Colour Picker means tracks and clip colours can be consistent, critical when working on teams, or customised to your heart’s content. Even more important, updates to Clip Gain adjustments keep your focus where it should be – on your clips! – by putting a gain control on every audio clip. And while we usually try to avoid feedback, real-time waveform scaling when adjusting gain provides visual feedback to better match clip volumes and allow you to use your eyes AND ears while editing.
It’s not just brains and beauty that makes this release of Audition so special. We’ve paid special attention to the brawn, too, by strengthening the performance of playback and recording significantly.
Typical workstations can expect to playback over 128 audio tracks, or record 32 tracks, simultaneously and at low latency without investing in expensive and finicky hardware units.
Playback and record more tracks than ever, at low latencies, without purchasing expensive, single-purpose acceleration hardware.
And set up those large session timelines more quickly with Audition’s Add Tracks dialogue, quickly inserting audio and bus tracks into a session so that you’re spending more time creating, not configuring.
Sometimes it’s the small things, though, and this release doesn’t skimp on the finesse. A new option, Zoom to Time, gives accurate control over exactly how much duration is in view and while we provide plenty of common defaults, it’s easy to save any view as a custom preset to provide quick access to the level of detail you require. Whether you’re working on fixed-time projects like commercials or teasers, or just like to get a good overview of the cadence of longer projects like soundtracks or podcasts, this feature puts time under your control.
