D&AD New Blood Awards – Meet the winners

Earlier this year, a whole host of bright young minds strapped on their creative thinking caps and set out to respond to the Adobe brief and wow the judges at this year’s D&AD New Blood Awards, which celebrates some of the finest work to be created by 2016’s most talented young students and creatives.

In the first of three posts celebrating this year’s nominees, we take a look at the inspiration behind some of the winning teams’ work.

Cece’s Journey

What inspired your submission?

Our submission was inspired by our own creative journeys with Adobe. We’ve all used Adobe products from a young age and remember the sense of being totally amazed by what you could achieve and create with the software.

The aim of the Adobe brief, to spark creativity amongst young people, also really stood out to us. As part of its target audience, we felt excited about responding to the brief using our own experience and knowledge. It was also a very open brief which was really appealing to us – it gave us the freedom to experiment and try different ideas and ways of communicating a story.

What inspired your submission?

I really liked the brief as I thought that I fit the target audience for the campaign perfectly. Every day I am surrounded by young creatives and I constantly see both mine and my friend’s ideas from start to finish. We work so hard on the final outcome but we all know that within design, ideas can change and it was this process that really inspired me.

What inspired your submission?

The inspiration came from a whole host of things, but ultimately we responded to the brief because we enjoyed the sound of it and it was something we could both play and experiment with without it being too restricting.

What inspired your submission?

I spent a lot of time thinking about what makes Creative Cloud different to other creative programs and services, thinking about why this product was so widely used and one of the things that stood out to me was the connectivity – that’s what makes it so comfortable and agile, and allows you to team-work so efficiently.

I decided to bring this connection to the extreme and connect the product directly to the consumer by creating a platform that not only understands the user based on their social networking activity, but makes the user evolve and learn about their own creative identity, the creative world and Creative Cloud’s tools and services, so that the connection between the user and the service is reciprocal.
