Adobe Stock: Shaking Up The Stock Content Market

Today we’re introducing a stock content service that’s directly integrated into your creative tools and workflows.

Our vision for Creative Cloud has always included the creation of a marketplace that makes it easy to access creative talent, training and content. And now, just five short months after our acquisition of Fotolia, I’m excited to introduce you to Adobe Stock, a major step toward establishing this marketplace.

We have a unique position in the $3 billion stock content market because our customers are avid creators and users of stock content. Approximately 85% of creatives who buy stock use Adobe tools; and over 90% of stock sellers use our tools to create their images. We are working closely with both buyers and sellers to create a streamlined experience that will make the flow of content more efficient for buyers and increase the opportunities for sellers.

For stock buyers, Adobe Stock will reduce the friction of buying and using stock content.

  • First, we are offering 40 million pieces of high-impact creative content for print, web and mobile app projects—photos, illustrations and graphics, covering virtually every subject.
  • Next, we’ve integrated Adobe Stock into the CC desktop apps you use every day—such as Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Illustrator CC, Adobe InDesign CC and more. Any stock images you select for preview or purchase in Adobe Stock are instantly available within our desktop and mobile apps, and any edits you make to watermarked images are automatically applied when you buy that image, saving you hours of rework.
  • Finally, we’ve streamlined pricing and packaging and have a really special offer for Creative Cloud members—who save on the annual stock subscription. You can rollover unused images from month-to-month. If you are not yet a Creative Cloud member, no problem. You can purchase, download and sell stock images on our standalone web site, Check out all the details here.

For stock contributors, we are committed to rewarding you for the incredible work you do, with increased commissions and straightforward and transparent pay out options. You will reach a qualified and growing audience of global stock creative users through Creative Cloud and marketers through Adobe’s Marketing Cloud offering.

And we’re just getting started. You can expect to hear a lot more about Adobe Stock in the months ahead as we add new content types, integrate access more deeply into your creative workflows and do whatever it takes to bring content buyers and sellers closer together.
