Inside the Designer’s Cart: Paul Trani
As part of our series ‘Inside the Designer’s Shopping’, we spoke to Adobe Evangelist Paul Trani and took a peek in his Adobe Stock shopping cart, to see what was the latest Adobe Stock assets he licensed, and what for what reasons he licensed them!
“I love all holidays because it gives me a fun theme to design for – with Halloween I decided to create a collage pattern around a skull,” Paul explained, “It only took a couple of images to give me everything I need to cover the skull and complete the layout.”
1. Florists placard with 9 vintage garden flowers
This is probably my favorite asset. I love the vintage/woodcut look of the flowers and I got nine for one download!
2. Vector set vintage butterflies
I needed butterflies that matched the flowers and this asset gave me not only that but many different options with different colors and angles.
For the winter holidays, Paul chose to create a card in a similar collaged style, but in a more festive way.
“For both designs I’ve chosen vector assets that I was able to bring into Photoshop and use Puppet Warp to make everything fit together nicely. The great thing is that since the original Creative Cloud Library assets were vector I could scale them up and down for printing at whatever size I wanted, including a laptop and iPad cover.”
3. Collection of vector Christmas present boxes
Picked this asset because there were so many different boxes. Again, was nice getting so many illustrations for one download.
4. Red deer
Loved the look of this deer with the depth of field. And knowing Photoshop has Focus Area selection I knew “cutting it out” would be easy.
5. Vector collection of vintage style hand drawn Christmas holiday
I loved the decorative flat look and all the different styled branches. I got the most use out of this file.
