Update available: Introducing CreativeSync in Dreamweaver CC
Big news! We’ve added CreativeSync technology to Dreamweaver, helping you design and add creative elements to your websites faster and more collaboratively. Access and reuse design assets from other Adobe apps with Creative Cloud Libraries, or even high-quality images and vector graphics from Adobe Stock. Designer to developer workflows for the web have never been easier!
We have also added responsive design improvements, support for PSDs with Artboards in the Extract panel, better Live View editing and more. Here’s a quick overview of what’s new:
Integration with Creative Cloud Libraries
Browse, manage and access creative assets like graphics and color themes from tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator or mobile apps like Capture CC. Design assets are automatically synced with Creative Cloud, so they can be quickly shared across mobile and desktop apps for speed and design consistency. And there are no hassles figuring out what version to use or accidentally overwriting an asset. Check out Libraries in action:
Integration with Adobe Stock
Choose from millions of high quality, royalty free images and vector graphics directly within Dreamweaver. Finding the perfect visuals for your web projects has never been easier.
Responsive design enhancements
We’ve added a number of workflow improvements, making it easier to work with visual media queries, breakpoints, and rows and columns. See more details here.
Also, Dreamweaver has upgraded to Bootstrap version 3.3.5, and jQuery version 1.11.3.
Extract with Artboard support
Building a responsive site from a Photoshop file has been dramatically simplified with support for multiple artboards. Each artboard is displayed as a folder in the layers panel. To work with a specific artboard, all you need to do is click its name. Watch this video to see how Extract works with artboards.
Live View improvements
Updates to Live View make designing, editing, and previewing your website more efficient. Tables can now be edited similarly to standard document apps, and the Quick Property Inspector can now be used to format, indent or hyperlink text.
This is just a quick overview of all the new goodies we’ve added to the latest version of Dreamweaver. Download the update here, or open the Creative Cloud desktop application, go to the Apps tab, and scroll down to find the ‘Update’ button next to Dreamweaver.
