Announcing the winner of the ‘Your Summer Your Story’ Photo Contest
Adobe is pleased to announce the winner of the #ShootYourStory contest, which called for photographers to showcase their best summertime before and after photo transformations. We were overwhelmed with over 800 stunning entries, but are delighted to present the winning photo by @sshekhar_, aka Shaneil from NSW, who created a spectacular image of Lincoln’s Rock in NSW, Australia. Shaneil has won an Microsoft Surface Book 2 and 12 month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud.
Photographer Benjamin Lee aka @itchban, who was one of our judges, comments: “I really love the summer adventure vibes. Your Lightroom CC edit brought back so much of the shadow details and the vibrant, warm tones really set the mood for your photo. Great work!”
We’re also pleased to showcase three runners-up, who’ve each won a 12 month subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud
Runner-up: @Nickalfie aka Nick from NSW
Comment from Benjamin: “Congratulations Nick. The nice compression in the shot really pushes the waves in the background forward. I like how you’ve straightened the horizon and warmed the image tones up whilst keeping the waves nice and cool.”
Runner-up: @kemikulz_ aka Kel Morales from NSW
Comment from Benjamin: “Congratulations, Kel. Classic scene with amazing depth. The leading lines in the sand that guide the viewers eyes from the foreground right up to the camels in the back. I like how your Lightroom CC edit was able to bring some warm colour back into the darker dusk shot.”
Runner-up: @theoriginalboscobrown aka Eric from NSW
Comment from Benjamin: “Congratulations Eric! I really like the slow shutter capture of the waves – not too long, not too short. It was amazing how your Lightroom CC edit was able to bring colour into the highlights and really change the mood and warmth of your image.”
Thank you to all the participants who sent in your beautiful summer shots, all with striking summer photo transformations. Keep an eye out on Adobe social channels as we feature some of our favourite finalists.
