Nearly 13,000 marketers from around the world took part in our 2018 Digital Trends Survey, now in its eighth year. Our research, undertaken with Econsultancy, looks at the most significant trends affecting companies in the short to medium term. This year we also identified high-performing companies to find out what they do that sets them apart from their peers. High-performing companies are those that exceeded their top 2017 business goal by a significant margin, and outperformed their competitors.
While there are plenty of new insights in this year’s report, the message is clear: we have well and truly moved into an era where experience is the focal point of digital activities. Our survey found that self-described design-driven firms significantly exceed their business goals. Great technology is a vital part of success, and companies delivering superior customer experience consistently win the day.
