Don’t forget that in Lightroom you aren’t committing to a specific output size when cropping. Instead, you specify the actual number of pixels that are going to be created when you use the Export feature or one of the Output modules (Slideshow, Print or Web) to create a raster (pixel) based image.

In LR3 I’m trying to do a custom crop. LR3 is currently set to Original Crop so I select Custom from the drop down menu then as soon as I put the cursor on the image the crop automatically switches back to Original Crop.

I have tried unlocking, selecting Custom, locking the tool and various combinations to force the Custom selection to stick but every time i put the cursor on the image it automatically reverts to Original Crop.

Any suggestions? This problem comes and goes and has persisted ever since i got the Beta version of LR3.

    Thanks in advance Julia.
