Fun with Apple: iHop & icons
Apropos of our friends up the road:
- Icons as icons: Greek designer Charis Tsevis has created a Heroes of the Electronic Revolution series, in which he depicts Steve Jobs as a mosaic of icons (Illustrator 10 makes a nice skin tone, evidently). Check out the full-sized version to see the details. Maybe we can get icon-Steve together with glyph-John Warnock. ;-)
- Apple, via Photoshop: Worth1000 is running a contest to depict the next Apple product. I’m kinda partial to the iHop ("Jump Around"). [Via]

Wow!!!
Thanks a lot, John.
Beeing noticed by someone like you it’s a real and great honour for me.
You made my day!
Thanks again!
[Hey Charis–glad to hear it. ;-) –J.]
As a real Adobe fan, I d like to ask you some things:
1. Please, make PS Actions editable outside of Photoshop (via a text editor). I am using PS Actions as an educational or presentation tool. I am adding a lot of stops (comments) and it’s very difficult to do so in the small windows of the stops in PS.
2. Please, put a command to delete multiple channels at once. It’s very difficult to delete them one by one.
I know that I can save as a copy without the channels, but there are many times that someone likes to delete many unuseful channels in a psd file.
[I know… –J.]
3. Please, don’t kill GoLive!
It’s a wonderfull tool! Especially for QuickTime authoring.
Best greetings from Athens, Greece.
I am promissing, soon to create a mosaic portrait of Chuck Geschke or John Warnock.
Or at least of the great Scott Kelby!
[ :-) –J.]
Of course, if you send me a photograph of yours, it would be an honour to include you in my soon to come art.
[Hah! Well, I’m certainly no hero of the digital age, but I’m very flattered by the offer. Let me see what I can come up with. –J.]
Charis Tsevis is a great visual designer.
He has develop a unique capability to
combine the inner-message of his artwork
with emotions using either new tools
or good ideas. And that’s just great…
A great artist, teacher, and thinker.
Wishing you the very best Charis.
(thanks –once again– for the great links John)
