    When I shared the electron microscope photos of grains of pollen w/ a science friend who has had extensive personal experience with such microscopy, he was skeptical, replying: “I suspect that the colors were supplied by the photographer, since you cannot get naturally colored scanning or transmission electron micrographs.”
