Adobe Configurator 3 Preview Released to Labs

Adobe Configurator 3 preview is now available to download. Configurator 3 introduces several new features and support for Adobe Photoshop CS6 and InDesign CS6. Key features include:

  • Compatible with Photoshop CS5/5.1 and CS6, and InDesign CS5/CS5.5 and CS6; supports new features and automatic conversion of existing panels.
  • Distribute and share panels with other Creative Suite 6 users via the Adobe Exchange. Look for more information and a new Exchange panel to be available on Adobe Labs in the coming weeks.

Adobe Drive 2 has shipped and separate prerelease with CMIS connector available on Labs

Adobe Drive 2 has shipped.  A separate prerelease that contains the CMIS connector is still available on Adobe Labs.

Adobe has posted a version of Adobe Drive 2 on in an effort to provide a viable near term solution for current users of Adobe’s Version Cue server asset management system who wish to upgrade to Creative Suite 5 products.

The Digital Magazine Solution from Adobe, coming in late summer 2010 to Adobe Labs, enables media, corporate, and retail catalog publishers to create and monetize immersive content experiences like the WIRED Reader. These digital magazines can be consumed on the Apple iPad, with other platforms and devices expected in the future.

Adobe Configurator Preview 2.0 Now Available on Labs

Adobe® Configurator is a utility that enables the easy creation of panels (palettes) for use in Adobe Photoshop® CS4, Adobe Photoshop® CS5 and Adobe InDesign® CS5. Configurator makes it easy to drag and drop tools, menu items, scripts, actions, and other objects into a panel design, then export the results for use in Photoshop or InDesign.

Configurator is ideally suited for Photoshop or InDesign users — such as authors, trainers and other experts — who want to customize the application interface without learning Flash, Flex & ActionScript.
Configurator is free for anyone to use. Running the panels it generates requires installing Photoshop or InDesign.

Adobe InDesign® API Navigator prerelease Launched

Adobe InDesign® API Navigator prerelease is a new development tool for InDesign C++ plug-in developers. It works as an add-in for Visual Studio on Windows and as a plug-in for Xcode on Mac OSX. It makes IDE (Visual Studio/Xcode) more powerful for InDesign C++ plug-in development.

kuler desktop 2.1 Released on Labs

Following the release of kuler 2.1 on Adobe Labs, a new version of the kuler desktop application is now available for download. Use the kuler desktop to browse color themes from the kuler website while online and offline, and load kuler themes directly into Creative Suite 3 applications (Adobe Illustrator®, Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe InDesign®).
