Adobe was proud to be a Leading Sponsor at this year’s BSides San Francisco security conference. Taking place immediately before RSA Conference, BSides gives a forum to a wide variety of technical topics often overlooked by larger security conferences. Over 2,000 security professionals from around the world descended on Moscone Center for this year’s[BM1] BSides conference.
In addition to our sponsorship, we had two important talks during the conference. Sohini Mukherjee, Cloud Security Researcher at Adobe, talked about her efforts in utilizing a readily available open source tool, OSQuery, to help accelerate digital forensics in incident response scenarios. Her research has helped fast track much of the forensics process here at Adobe and we are proud to share her research with the broader security community. You can learn more about her work on our blog as well as in a webcast produced in partnership with the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA).
Noam Lorberbaum and Keith Mashinter, members of our Adobe Document Cloud team, also discussed the security challenges met with migrating our Adobe Acrobat PDF Services offering to our new Kubernetes-based container orchestration platform. They discussed potential security issues and resolutions covering all layers of the application and provided practical guidance on how to better ensure strong security – and gain further benefits – as you migrate production applications to newer platforms.
We would like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth to chat and learn about our ongoing research and innovations. We would also like to thank those that signed up for our Security@Adobe newsletter. This newsletter provides a roll-up of all of the latest security articles, news, and events going on around Adobe and the industry. You can also keep up with the latest from our security team on the Security@Adobe blog and our Twitter account. We look forward to seeing all of you at BSides San Francisco next year.
